the Josh Allen of the defense? Edmunds is very good this year. He’s not the most important player on defense, or worth vastly overpaying for. The backups are not great, so it’s likely we find a way to keep him at a discount, or get another FA LB and draft someone. Most teams can’t have two high priced LBs. Edmunds is great against the pass because he is built a bit like a large safety or CB. It’s also why he gets swallowed by blockers sometimes.

I bet he flames out quickly here. We may have then traded or drafted Jefferson (would still rather have Diggs).

bingo. Some of the D picks were good(Rousseau). But then taking Basham over the draft's top Center/Guard, and not taking WRs until the 4th round (outside of arguably Diggs), is not going well. And taking a CB in Rd 1 this year, when they were available later now seems questionable over Watson, etc. All that said, we should be set on D now, and should be taking BPA with a lean toward offense, be it OL, RB or WR.
