  1. Who voted JA does not have the talent to win? He is more talented than past SB winning QBs. The issue is the roster/coaching around him.
  2. That’s horrible (today) and crazy (parent story). If you have any family still there I hope they are okay. I always thought your user name was a reference to the candy bad “Big Turk” from Canada. where do you live? We had one in Pgh about 10 years ago, I felt nothing as I was driving, but my wife was in a big building and it was swaying all over (as they are designed to do from wind, etc).
  3. I’d take one of them that can play center and an OT in first 3. Seems like a deep IOL draft at C/G. Donno if I use a first on a 24 year old.
  4. didn’t Knox have good hands in college though. Not sure if Davis did or not, but in any event it does appear that hands/concentration and route running should be something fixable.
  5. assistant coach on Cowboys.
  6. Enthusiasm still high, expectations lower. Like another early playoff exit.
  7. i mean if they can make the contract work that’d be great, I just don’t know if that’s realistic. Hope so. Less holes would be nice. If they can sign him and a WR like Kirk that’d be great.
  8. Patterson would be an ok pick here in this situation. But there are 2-3 good centers it seems, so may be better to trade back or take a WR like here unless one is much better than the others. The other high ranked centers are the one from Minn, Wisc., and TCU.
  9. like this, although I may go Bergeron over Vorhees and grab a C/G in 3rd. Draft seems to be deeper there.
  10. I get it, but this assumes we hit on the picks as day 1 contributors. I’d rather gave a proven WR , draft OL, and LB or go vet to replace Edmunds. Otherwise Edmunds contract creates holes elsewhere.
  11. For me, the point is that we can get a non game changer for less, and spend on WR or OT.
  12. would love to draft a thumper to pair Cook with. No more short-yard runs for Allen. Get an Ingram/Kamara thing going. First, I think the OL needs to be repaired, or all the backs and QBs get crushed.
  13. or, we made our division harder than it needed to be. Tua is good, the rest of the teams don't have an above-average QB. The West still has great/good QBs. it's true a lot has to go right, but a lot goes right more often when you have better talent at OL, and 2nd WR on offense, not just a top 2 QB in the league. (not to mention playing a modern D style, etc).
  14. nit-picking. Are you happy with the playoff performance. Almost lost to a rookie QB on Miami, and then couldn't get pressure against a OL with 3 backups starting. This following 13 seconds, and many times during the season giving up 3rd and long. This D is anything but clutch, and if it played against better QBs this year would have a much worse regular season (i.e. who cares) ranking. The D is built for mediocracy.
  15. It's Friday. Let's do some mock drafts. This one is from pro football network's program: 27. Anton Harrison OT Oklahoma (appears to be very athletic, and solid in run and pass blocking) 59. Cedric Tillman WR Tennessee (injured last year, year before put up monster numbers. Big WR. Next D. Adams or that guy from Seattle whose name escapes me). 91. Joe Tippmann OC Wisconsin (don't know a ton about him, but gave up 0 sacks his senior year. Appears capable...my guy Patterson was gone by this point). 130. Ronnie Hickman S Ohio State (know nothing about him. @YoloinOhio might?) 139. Kendre Miller RB TCU (physical RB according to what I've read) 164. Deshawn Pace LB Cincinnati (not a physical back, but good in zone coverage and reading a QB. Seems like an Edmunds replacement.) Analysis not all mine. Too a lot from https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/
  16. here is another attempt for you draft gurus. I like this one more: 27.
  17. Alright, I tried to get an impact WR, OT, and C/G in the first three rounds. No clue how it went after that. It did result in me drafting a WR higher than he likely goes, but this kid is fast and productive, so I'm not too worried. He looks like a day 1 weapon. Also happy with the T and C/G. What do you all think, particularly the draft gurus.
  18. thanks for the write up. Hopefully we get impactful WR, OT, C/G in first 3.
  19. Mattison, dude has been a stud when Cook missed time. Here, he could be the No1. and play with Cook’s brother. For 2.2 mill that would free up a pick for OT.
  20. pretty much. Even if the women made it up, they had time to investigate and generally charges would be filed by now, clearly she just suddenly changes her story
  21. First, thank for the in-depth write up on the upcoming FAs. I agree with going after Turner, although I don't know he walks into the role. I'd like to get a C/G out of the 1st two rounds, my top pick currently being Patterson from ND. If we get a WR in FA, I wouldn't mind hitting an OT in rd. 1 and guard/center in rd. 2. My bolded below have that addition. LT- Dion Dawkins LG- Ryan Bates C- Mitch Morse RG- Trai Turner (Patterson (ND)/Schmitz (MN)) RT - Mike McGlinchey (Steen (AL); Duncan (MD); Jones (OSU).)
  22. agreed. And Bean appears clueless, as he has critized one area of Josh's play is that he "takes too many hits." Well, genius, if you got him an actual OL and RB, he wouldn't have to be our QB who is always running for his life, and our top rusher. a good analysis, but Kelly and Reed (and I agree that Reed is horribly underrated) were fantastic, but they had a MUCH better cast around them from coaching, to OL, to RB, and other WRs. Diggs disappears in playoffs because of the OC and lack of other threat anywhere.
  23. mention KC drafting Creed Humphry on here again and I hope the mods ban you for life...../s/ the Bills inability to play rookies who are better than starters is maddening. McD/Dorsey can't evaluate talent in a draft or on the field. Shakir is clearly better than McKenzie, but never played until playoff time. Hodkins going to NYG and instantly contributing.
  24. I'd be fine if he is the BPA in the 1st. Then get C/G Patterson in the second. You've instantly upgraded receiving and blocking. I'd rather grab a WR in FA given that the class here is not deep, but lots in FA. you're correct that TE is not an issue, but the issue is creating the best chance for the offense to succeed. If we get another TE who can block and catch, we add a receiving/scoring threat and a lineman. Would I rather go OT or WR in the 1st, absolutely, but the top OT and WRs may be gone by then. I don't want Bean reaching like he did with DEs.
  25. looks like the twitter account faked the predictions, and just made random ones for the future.
