  1. would rather have OT at 27. I get going for an Edge, but it does not seem that any Edge at 27 will be an impact guy this year. you have it set on easy? That’s a great one.
  2. well, the highlights do show great hands. And that is something independent of competition level. Also looks big. Don't know if he can block, but looks like another potential red zone or 3rd and short guy at the very least.
  3. Reuter had Zay going in the 2nd round, which I don't think happens. I'd love him at 27 if the top OTs and some other WRs are gone, and if we don't take him, Cincy, KC, Philly, or NE will. Although I wouldn't trade Davis. Rookie contract and a decent #3. Unless he was part of a trade to Arizona for Hopkins.
  4. just awful. Esp. passing on Kincade, and Kancey (if you want to go DL).
  5. here is mine today. Also, what happened to our 7th rounder? this was a draft I would have loved to trade back in. Some good DT, and CBs there at 27, but all top WRs and OTs gone.
  6. With mock draft season in full swing, what are the worst mock drafts you have seen for the Bills. I'll start: https://www.nfl.com/news/four-round-2023-nfl-mock-draft-1-0-qbs-go-1-2-3-after-colts-trade-up Chad Reuter just posted his 4 round mock on NFL.com. It has the Bills TRADING UP to 20 and losing its 3rd round pick for........Pitt DT Calijah Kancey. Still available at #20: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who goes next to the Chargers, Hyatt, who goes following that to KC, Trenton Simpson (MLB) to NJG, Dalton Kincaid to Dallas, and OT Darnell Wright to Cincy. If we traded up for any of these guys I could live with that, but for a DT....NO! But the carnage is not yet over, in the 2nd round Reuter picks: Drew Sanders, LB Arkansas. Look, I like this pick, but not if round 1 is DT. Picked 2 picks later is Jack Campbell, and about 5 picks later centers Luke Wypler and then Steve Avila in the early 3rd. Our 3rd round pick becomes Seattle's, and they take AL LB Henry To'oTo'o. In the 4th we take Tenn-Chattanooga- OG McClendon Curtis. (who?!?!) Taken several picks later are both Oklahoma RB Eric Gray (to Cincy) and Wake Forrest WR A.T. Perry, to NE. YIKES!!
  7. I’d be okay with Flowers in Round 1. I think he had No. 1 receiver potential, even at 5’10”.
  8. by "go after" do you mean pick at 27, or trade up? I'm fine at 27, would not trade up for them, because the cost is likely another pick that could be an OC, and an OT at 27.
  9. ok, the Clemson guy I could be okay with. Still if grades on an MLB, WR, and OL are all the same, I'd take OL/WR over MLB. Think the draft is deeper there after the 1st round.
  10. Good player, hurt a lot though. We still should draft OL or WR if they are BPA early. I fear another DE incoming.
  11. Esp. when none of the FAs are top tier guys.
  12. thanks. Surprised the center from Wisconsin and OSU not there, and G Patterson from ND
  13. don’t get my hopes up!
  14. D Hop and Robinson in round 1 may be a good replica of this without getting Henry’s money and need for 15 carries to get into a rhythm. Draft OL in 2nd and 4th in this case.
  15. he has been awful in Pgh. Outplayed by the backup.
  16. F. we keep getting average players to plug holes, win’t cut it with Bean’s awful draft record. The WR signing was a total waste of money that could go to OL. who did we get at backup qb?
  17. this. years of control, plus rookies played well on SF and Miami last year when needed. If we have the weapons around JA that we need, we should be able to eek out a .500 if JA misses time. I get this point. But I'd argue you can win the SB with a backup. SF nearly made it, and the Giants beat us in 25. Other teams have won SBs with backup level QBs (Eagles recently). It's hard to do, but that's why I'd go with a rookie backup. You could win, and if you don't, you get a Jamar Chase type in the draft.
  18. don't get my hopes up. It's likely that Bean gets a LB to fill Edmunds, I hope it's an impact player, even for 1-2 years so a rookie does not need to start ASAP. That said, I don't want to overpay (even Klien would be ok) at the determent of a WR or another OL.
  19. now we have to get Campbell! or another WR. or D. Foreman.
  20. seems like a Staffold-plus pickup to me. hope I'm wrong. Like a solid starter, but I'd still draft one.
  21. now get the other McGovern and other Josh Allen. in all seriousness, seemed like there were better guard FAs available. Hope this won't prevent us from drafting a great G/C in the 2nd if one is there.
  22. I like this back and forth here. I think we can get a lower priced WR (Parris Campbell) and a stud OG. Shore up the line in any way possible, and you let the WRs routes develop. I also agree it's easier to draft and play an OG/C than a WR.
  23. I hope you are correct. I think the issue is that it was the same as Dorsey, it didn't evolve and in some ways relapsed. You need to be multiple in how you attack defenses. With our current OL that presents issues, but the play calling seemed stagnant after the 1st games and other teams had us "figured out" with minimal adjustments, particularly only putting up 10 vs. Cincy.
  24. do we have a backup OC ready for in-season. If Dorsey starts the year like he ended it by wasting our ability to attack Ds in multiple ways, we need an OC who is not learning on the job during a SB window. Perhaps Dorsey as Assist OC in that situation. I agree, trade but not cut. I think it depends on the draft. If you get the WR from BC or UNC, you don't need McKenzie with Shakir and the rookie.
