Something way more serious for this. Bellicheck is washed up.

Today's from PFN: Another no WR draft. But the board fell this way. Branch at 27 is a steal, although not an instant contributor this year, but had to do it. Likely we would trade back in real life to a team in need of a safety. Like the super-athletic Musgrave at 59. Can block and catch. We now have 2 #1 TEs. Wypler at 91, another steal, IMO. Can start day 1 if needed. Harrison is intriguing, seems athletic but needs to put it together. One place said he could be "the next Von Miller, or (some guy I never heard of)". Williams fills in at LB. Was very productive at Tulane, and likely goes higher if not small. Duggan is a great backup QB. 27. Brian Branch S Alabama 59. Luke Musgrave TE Oregon State 91. Luke Wypler OC Ohio State 130. Zach Harrison EDGE Ohio State 137. Dorian Williams LB Tulane 205. Max Duggan QB TCU as someone who went to Cuse, and wife went to PSU, this draft is approved. I'm not sure what to think about Porter. Guy seems more like a safety than a CB, but great at 27. Like the Turner and Johnson picks, total steals. Scruggs will be good if not needed in year 1.

Jordan Phillips back with Bills 1 year deal
RyanC883 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
hopefully his contract requires him to see a trainer before/after every game. Dude appears to lack the ability to properly stretch given that hammy last year. Overall: love this signing. Great guy who causes chaos in the other teams backfield as a backup DT. Fantastic. I also won't be surprised if we draft a DT in Rd. 5 or so--someone who just eats space. -
Thanks! I'll take any input here. There do appear to be a lot of undersized "run" guys in that 4-5 range. Williams from Tulane is my top guy in that range, Banks (Tenn) and Horton (not undersized, however) from TCU is interesting. There is a Pitt LB that is also interesting (Sir something), although he is more 5-6 range. Interested in if you have any targets in that range that stick out?

I prefer Sanders: seems more athletic and has on-ball and off-ball LB experience. At this point, I'm hoping for a FA LB (Jack) and just getting JA as much help as possible in the draft. It's also interesting that Sanders and Campbell appear ranked differently depending on the source. Zero consensus.

Today's edition. No WRs (not intentional, but never BPA). 27. Darnell Wright OT Tennessee 59. Drew Sanders LB Arkansas 91. Joe Tippmann OC Wisconsin 130. Jammie Robinson S Florida State 137. Andrew Vorhees OG USC 205. DeWayne McBride RB UAB

please move to the awful mock drafts thread as well! No day 1 help for the offense—total joke.

Here is Pro Football Network today. One of my favorites so far. Get a day 1 starter at RT, another OT, and a C/G. This provides depth this year, and a consistent core for the next 4 years or so. Mingo is going to be a stud at WR, and Robinson and McBride have both been in Brooks' top 5 in their respective positions during his first 2 rankings. McBride led college in yards after contact. This draft also assumes LB Jack or someone else at LB in FA. 27. Darnell Wright OT Tennessee 59. Joe Tippmann OC Wisconsin 91. Matthew Bergeron OT Syracuse 130. Jonathan Mingo WR Ole Miss 137. Jammie Robinson S Florida State 205. DeWayne McBride RB UAB Love the unrealistic one! 4 potential day 1 starters. The I like, Van Ness, and I could be wrong, seems to not have the production in college that lives up to his ability. Am I wrong here? Sanders also worries me a bit as a tweener who has not played a consistent on-ball, off-ball LB enough. Flip side: great versatility. Love 91-105 picks, steals.

True we generally do mot have a glaring need. But in 2021 we went into a draft needing a DE. Got 2. Minimal return and passed on an all pro center. that would be another pick on LB after blowing an early one last year. Bean is awful at drafting.

thanks for doing this again!

Here is one today from Pro Football Network: 27. Bryan Bresee DT Clemson 59. Joe Tippmann OC Wisconsin 91. Tyler Scott WR Cincinnati 130. Bryce Ford-Wheaton WR West Virginia 137. Jammie Robinson S Florida State 205. DeWayne McBride RB UAB Here is PFF: (what, behind a paywall now!) Here is Fanspeak, seems um, unrealistic: 27: R1 P27 RB Bijan Robinson - Texas 59: R2 P28 OT Darnell Wright - Tennessee 91: R3 P28 S Jammie Robinson - Florida State 130: R4 P28 C John Michael Schmitz - Minnesota 137: R5 P2 S Sydney Brown - Illinois 205: R6 P28 WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton - West Virginia

What do you think of Darnell Wright from Tenn at 27? Or would you go WR or someone like Tippman?

Building an Entire Draft Board: Safety Rankings
RyanC883 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sydney Brown in 2nd or Hickman in 3/4 seem to be the best options, assuming we go offense in 1st and or second. Some good depth here for the draft. -
none is not an option??!! Bean, is that you??!!

Building an Entire Draft Board:Center Rankings

we seem to be missing Alvia (TCU) and Patterson (ND) as options. Would be happy with Alvia in the 2nd, Patterson in the 2/3rd. Really want Tippman from Wisconsin. -
all my opinions are popular around here ok, unpopular one: McD is a MUCH better DC than HC. He should be our DC and we should get someone to be the HC. The D will be better this year if he calls plays, but we have no one to keep a real eye on the offense, and the offense is totally unbalanced (see Bean's comments about the surprise in how little Hines was used).

Here is Brooks top 5 by position: https://www.nfl.com/news/bucky-brooks-top-five-2023-nfl-draft-prospects-by-position-2-0-qb-hooker-above-r I voted for OT Wright, who he describes as follows: "At 6-5 and 333 pounds, Wright is a big edge blocker with heavy hands and a nasty temperament. The Tennessee product mauls opponents at the point of attack while flashing enough balance and body control to be effective as a road grader or pass protector on the quarterback's front side."
