  1. This is a brutal stretch. It will tell us alot about these Bills. We will see where their weaknesses and strengths are. We will definately find out about Fitz during this stretch. The coaches need to show what they have also.
  2. Agreed, don't see 11 or 12 wins
  3. If the Bills sign a reciever, which they do need, who goes?
  4. I thought calling those time outs was idiotic. What was he trying to prove? Show his team that he will never give up? Was he trying to punish them? Was he trying to get someone injured? Just a bonehead move
  5. Pass interference is not the same as illegal contact which is a 5 yard penalty and a first down. Of course Rogers is right. There may be more calls this years, but don't you think the players are pushing the envelope a whole lot more this year knowing they have the new refs? The new guys don't want to seem overly officious and the players are testing them. The new refs need to make the calls and then and only then will the players respect them and try to play by the rules.
  6. He hasn't. The obvious reason behind that thought is his big arm. But he doesn't measure up with his decision making at times. He'll throw balls into coverage. I also question his leadership at times. I will say in his defense, his line can be very bad.
  7. Tha scary thing about Fitz's first game was those interceptions were bad throws and bad decisions. They were as bad as it gets as far as interceptions go for an NFL quarterback. This after they brought a guy in to work with him on his mechanics. He was awful. Even when he threw downfield, his throws were high. I think it's a very dificult thing to change a quarterback's mechanics at this point in his life. All his mechanics are pretty much instilled. He's been throwing one way all his life and then is expected to change. It's very hard to do. Maybe they should have left him alone. No one changed Bernie Kosar because it couldn't be done. I don't think Fitz will ever be a franchise type quarterback. He will have good games and bad games and awful games. The tougher the competition, the worse he will be. The Bills need to draft a quarterback next year and lets hope he can be a franchise guy. Not sure about the draft crop though.
  8. What other choices are out there besides Schopp and the Bulldog? Schopp does seem to hate his job at times. He gets very short with some of his callers. Seems very rude at times. Maybe it's his attempt to make the show more controversial and induce listenership, I don't know, but it gets annoying.
  9. Was that much different than Fitz proved?
  10. So if the Bills make the playoffs, and don't win the Superbowl we should say see ya to Nix? Obviously if they make the playoffs but don't win it all, the rebuilding project is not over, yet they are moving in the right direction. So I say it depends on the amount of success the team shows this year. I do think they have holes at linebacker, tightend and wide reciever possibly. Also, one might argue that they need a aquarterback depending how Fitz can carry this team.
  11. I don't remember Chaney calling out Shepard for being out of shape.
  12. Number 10 is included in your first reason unless you feel Tom Brady has some sort of Mystical powers that go beyond the fact he plays for the Patriots.. The D-Line most certainly will be able to play run defense. No sign that Freddy is too old and they have Spiller to ease his work load. It's hard to win in the NFL for all the teams you listed also.
  13. Look, this is Preseason. I have been watching enough football over the years to realize that preseason means little. Does it mean the Bills will be good? Of course not. But it doesn't mean they will be bad either. It's preseason. I'm going to make my assesment after week one. I guarantee if the Bills were playing Minnesota during the regular season it would be an entirely different game. These preseason games mean nothing. Do they count in the standings? No. Do they matter? No. Just stay healthy. That's all that matters.
  14. I'm thinking that David Lee, while trying to fix Fitz's mechanics has maybe caused him to be less accurate. Fitz was very inaccurate Friday night. Worse that I've ever seen. Sometimes when a quarterback tries to change the way he is used to throwing, he starts to think too much about what he's doing rather than just throwing the ball. it may just take more time for Fitz to become comfortable throwing wiht the new and improved mechanics. Hopefully that will be the case. But there is also a chance that Fitz may have been better off left alone.
  15. I'll judge her on her competency, not her gender. No reason a female can't be a good ref.
  16. That might work. Good suggestion
  17. Shortly thereafter, Cowboys’ vice-president of public relations/communications Rich Dalrymple chimed in with a reminder that Jerry Likes leisurely walks at Ellicot Creek park, a common destination for glory hole seekers.
  18. OH NO!!!! Did You say "dream team"? have you been talking to Vince Young?
  19. Speaking of Ralph, haven't heard much from him lately
  20. I like your post, but if the Bills lose Fitz will take his share of the blame. It's the nature of the position. It comes with the job. Quarterbacks have to win or they get heat. It may or may not be fair but that's the way it is. I hope you're right about the 10 wins. Personally I think Fitz is more than capable of winning with a strong team around him. He's a competitor and is intelligent. His arm is not the strongest, but definately strong enough to get the job done. Hopefully his new coach will cause him to improve even more. I'm excited to see what happens.
  21. The Dolphins sure handled the Bills last year. Can't take that team lightly.
