  1. Why should it concern him that the Bills are the first team EVER to have a team rush and pass for 300 yards against them? This was expected. Hell, it was a 10 point spread. Teams are supposed to put up record setting numbers on 10 point spreads. No one should be concerned. Almost 150 point against in the 3 loses is nothing to concern us.
  2. The Cards are definately not the Pats or the Niners, and Miami almost beat them at their place, but I just don't see the Bills beating anyone on the road at this point. They have no mental toughness and I have no confidence in the coaching staff to turn this around any time soon. They are a defeated team and it shows in their demeanor. As soon as something bad happens in the game, they will implode.
  3. And what if december comes around and we evaluate and they are as bad as they are now? Then what?
  4. It wouldn't have mattered if the Bills had taken a knee and ran out the clock. Only the final score of a blowout would have changed a bit. The Niners would have come out in the second half and kicked the Bills butts either way. The Bills would have quit when the first bad thing happened to them. Bad things happen in games. Good teams play through it and overcome it. Bad teams like Buffalo quit. To be fair to bad teams, not all bad teams quit either. This bad Buffalo team seems to have a roster of quitters waiting for a reason to sulk.
  5. The name of the owner hasn't changed....maybe that's the curse
  6. I think the Bills need to keep everyone of these coaches in place until there is a new owner. No coach worth anything will come to this team right now. This team gets blown up when a new owner arrives. Let the current bunch of misfits play it out until then. This organiztion is a joke. When new ownership is in place, they hire a real GM and then he can hire the head coach, etc. etc.
  7. I get your point, but football is a team sport. He has every right to get as much as he can but he has to realise at the same time, there is a salary cap and his salary would have an effect on the quality of the team. He chose to hold out for more money, knowing it would mean less talent around him. I'm not sure Tom Brady makes the same choice. Was it selfish? Probably , but many of us would do the same in his position.
  8. Yes, right next to Fitz's
  9. Again, couldn't care less about the failures of Maybin as a NY Jet. My concern is how bad the Bills defense is right now. No big surprise that Maybin is not very good.
  10. Expectations were very high this year
  11. And even they laid an egg in Minnesota....just saying
  12. If that's what he's saying, how in the world could the players not show up at any time in the game against an opponent like New England? Or is it another way of saying they are just way better than us?
  13. I think the concern is more so his drafting and personnel decisions than not being available to the media right now. How does the board feel he's done in that department?
  14. Doesn't inspire confidence in the defense, does it?
  15. Yes, sounds about right for this organization.
  16. Yes, you might be right. They could head the same direction as last year. if so, say goodbye to Chan. I wonder about the leadership on this team.
  17. The Bills go to New England on Nov. 11. Will this team step up and fight like hell to make New England pay or will they crawl in tentative and scared. I know we have tough games before this one, but I am looking forward to see how this team responds to that embarassing loss.
  18. Ever think that maybe this team is taking on the personality of the head coach? This might be an issue.
  19. I agree. I guess it makes people forget how pathetic the Bills were on Sunday to talk about Maybin's poor play. Maybin being a non factor in New York doesn't make the Bills situation any more palatable for me. I couldn't care less about Aaron Maybin.
  20. Ok good point, but what now? The Bills have already made the mistake. They way overpaid for Williams and now this could put the franchise back for years. How do we get out from under a bust of a free agency signing? Do they cut him after the season if his production stays as it is now? They certainly won't be able to find a trade partner. Do we fire Nix for such a huge mistake? Maybe the money should be spent on a quality football people first, then worry about the roster. The problem now is how to fix this. What do the Bills do if Super Mario does not get any better than this?
  21. Everyone knew Bruce Smith was coming off the left side and they still could not stop him.
  22. Yes we all loved what Nix did a few months ago...but we're not the ones being paid to make the decisions to better this football team. Nix is. It's his job to make the right decisions on football matters, especially personnel. Did Nix ask himself why Houston didn't seem to be trying very hard to keep Mario Williams? Did he think long and hard about the ramifications if Williams didn't work out? Why didn't New England fight very hard to keep Anderson? After four games theses signings look like terrible moves. Mario Williams has been virtually invisible. I may be overreacting but It's not looking good. It's looking real bad. If Mario Williams turns out to be a bust, imagine how that salary will set this franchise back. I also think we can make an argument that Nix's drafts were not good. The only chance this franchise might have is when RW is no longer on the scene and whoever owns the team is willing to put the money into the men running the football operation. Get quality football people who know how to build a winner. I doubt that any football guy worth his salt would be seriously trying to sell Fitz as the QB to take this team to the promised land. Yes, I'm frustrated, and I may be overreacting to two horrible losses to division foes, but I don't I don't think I am.
