  1. I believe his second interception in Arizona set up the game winning field goal
  2. I'm not going to say he almost lost the game but I will say he made some dubious play calls in the first half. Third and one and he used Choice in the wild cat. Third and one and he goes empty backfield. It's easy to be critical after the plays don't work, but I was questioning the plays before the ball was snapped. I didn't like the calls. I also did not like the clock management at the end of the first half. This may not be Chan's fault though. In the second half I thouhgt Miami adjusted well to what the Bills were doing in the first half but The Bills did not adjust. Miami brought more heat and maybe the Bils could have done a better job adjusting and making them pay.
  3. It's definately easier to keep the talent you have than to try and replace it. Nix has done a good job retaining the talent he has but one has to wonder how much the Mario Williams contract has made signing current players more difficult.
  4. I would think if a man was so drunk he had to be ejected from the game, one might argue that the police should have been called. It's certainly a shame this happened.
  5. A top 10 D changes the Bill's record for sure. Both New England Games and the Tennessee game were very winable with a strong defense This defense needs linebackers in the worst way. Their linebackers are not making enough plays. Fitz had a fantastic game against the Pats last week, except for the dreaded last play. Even though Gailey should not have called that play, Fitz should have known better and gone to a different reciever. A horrible decision. I have to say though, with a top 10 defense the Bills win that game and it doesn't come down to that play.
  6. This time it was written by Jim Donalson of the Providence Journal
  7. The Bills are a laughing stock. http://blogs.providencejournal.com/sports/patriots/2012/11/patriots-have-back-to-back-bye-weeks.html
  8. I think Sean Patton is a distant relative of General George Patton. Might be worth a shot.
  9. It's not that Ralph has never made changes. Look at the last 12 years. The problem is when he makes them, they always seem to be the wrong ones. He hires the wrong people. When the team needs a quality football guy , he hires retreads and yesmen. He has opened the pocketbooks and paid free agents. What he just doesn't seem to understand, or doesn't want to, is that an NFL team needs quality people making good football decisions.
  10. I give you credit for rewatching the game. My stomach isn't strong enough to put myself through that.
  11. I think Shanahan should not say that out loud. He's an idiot for saying it. People in Washington pay to see a team compete to win, not to see a glorified evaluation process. What kind of a message does that send to the players if the head coach has already quit? Shanahan should know better. Maybe he's the one who will be evaluated and fired. And as far as the Bills are concerned, of course they should not tank on purpose. Who is this quarterback we should tank for?
  12. Do you really think getting rid of the current staff will make a difference? They will only hire another retread reject that noboby else would hire. Nothing changes untill new ownership is in place. They might as well just keep the current misfits and rebuild with new ownership. I only hope that rebuild will be here in Buffalo.
  13. Seems the coaches don't have confidence in Gilmore
  14. They fell for that play every time. It was infuriationg. There has to be a player responsible for the QB on that play..
  15. Wow, It's hard to believe an NFL head coach would answer a question with that response. But then again I'm not sure if he said it. My head was buried in the Steelers/Giants game so I'll have to watch the film.
  16. They will play the same vanilla scheme as they have played all year. They will get Diced
  17. As reported on wgr55 radio, Bill Polian wants back into the NFL. Would it be a wise move to bring him back to Buffalo if this was a possibility?
  18. Jim Kelly would have tried to put the corneback on his butt.
  19. It is also a bit troubling that they seem to be at their worst later in games when it is crunch time.
  20. My questions are these: Does the league have the right to sell the team to an individual or a group that is not the highest bidder? I know the owners have to approve any potential sale, but is that merely a formality assuminmg there is no "problem" with the highest bidder that might cause a conflict with owning an NFL franchise? I also wonder if Mr Wilson and his heirs like the idea of a bidding war for the team and will try to create a bidding war to up the price. Also, does anyone know the last time an NFL owner died and left the team to heirs who wanted to sell?
  21. Not very good, an understatement. We hear very little about how the Bils defense feels about their coach. So we really can't say for sure if there is a disconect betweem them. If I judged soley from how they play, I would suspect there might be. They can't be this bad can they?
