  1. Yes, they might as well play it out with Jackson, and draft number one next year. To draft a bust and give up needed picks to move up for him would set the franchise back for years.
  2. Sadly, you're exactly right. Maybe, just maybe, they get the number one pick overall and get a franchise quarterback next year. It's the only thing we can hang our hats on
  3. It sure looks like it's going to be an awful year. It's early, but one can't help but see the writing on the wall here. They have way too much cap space taken up by a D line that underperformed last year, they have no recievers, they have no linebackers. Tight End looks weak and the O line has been weakened with the departure of Levitre. Add to the mix no quarterback that will be any good and we have the makings of a very bad year. They may well be looking at the number one overall pick next year. It would take a great football mind to get the Bills out of this mess and the taped conversation did not inspire much confidence in Buddy NIx. It almost seemed like he was clueless.
  4. I believe he is a restricted free agent..so may not be so easy to get him
  5. I must say, I love your positive attitude.
  6. Aaron Maybin is signed on as the Bills strength and conditioning coach
  7. http://www.prosportsdaily.com/articles/bills-to-go-free-agent-shopping-tuesday-237707.html
  8. How could the Bills pass on a healthy Jarvis Jones?
  9. I think whether Fitz or Sanchez is better depends on what Sunday You saw them play. But if you could combine Fitz's brain with Sanchez's physical tools, you might have a pretty good quarterback.
  10. I wasn't aware that those quarterbacks brought in and paid for their own coaches. I also don't know how you can say he resisted the instruction from Lee. Was that written somewhere from a reliable source? I didn't see that if it was. Maybe you can link that story for us.
  11. He has already recieved 21 million of that guaranteed money, so he is likely to be cut if he does not take a pay cut. Actually they save about a half million if they cut him before the roster bonus, as opposed to keeping him. Then they would be done with him and any cap issues in the future.
  12. Yes, if he gets cut, he gets nothing from the Bills this year. we all know he got money last year, if that's what you're talking about. Arizona will not pay him anything close to 10 million.
  13. I would like to say, with all the attacks on Fitz, I don't personally blame him for any of what has happened associated with him playing here. He is a true professional and He gives 100% to the team and has been good for the Buffalo area outside of football. I blame Nix and Gailey. Those guys should have known that Fitz was not good enough. They are supposed to be the football people making the football decisions. Why a quarternback was not drafted before is a mystery to me. Fitz was only doing what any competitor would do in his place. Try his best. Blame the football guys. I think Fitz is a good guy, and I wish him the best no matter what he goes on to do. I just hope it's not being the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills.
  14. Not exactly how I would put it, but can't argue with your point. It's true.
  15. I like the idea of a pay cut because it can save cap money this year and make cutting him in the future easier on the cap. He would be competition at the position also.
  16. Because a Harvard grad would realise if he gets cut, he gets nothing. He would be smart to negotiate a pay cut if indeed they plan on cutting him, which I believe they will. And He is also smart enought o know there won't be a marketr for him as a starter. So it's backup money he's looking at if he gets cut. It would actually be dumb to be stubborn and force the Bills to cut him.
  17. If they cut him, he doesn't get the money either, so it's in his best interest to accept a pay cut
  18. I'm counting on the new regime to have more sense than that..then they are stuck witht the cap hit this year and again next year
  19. He has a much quicker release than Tebow. I see your points though about his sometimes wild and inaccurate throws. Maybe he could be coached up, unlike Tebow because it's hard to un-teach a horrible slow delivery such as Tebows'..I do like his toughness. He stands in there and takes the hit to complete a pass.
  20. I would be surprised if the Bills give Fitz this roster bonus. The cards seem to say he's going to be cut. Personally I hope he takes a pay cut and stays. I'm not sure that will happen though. I don't see any team paying him anywhere close to what he is scheduled to be paid here. Matter of fact, I don't see him getting more than 2 million as a backup somewhere. If he takes a pay cut here, it would save alot of cap space and possibly make room for another quality free agent signing.
  21. Unfortunately because of the sequester, the White House will not be able to pay for any intervention. Just out luck.
  22. So we sign Cruz to a ridiculous offer, blow up our salary structure with no hope now of signing any other free agents, we lose next year's number one pick to the Giants which will inevitably turn out to be the number one pick overall. I think BoozeCruise is secretly a Giant's fan.
  23. Why? So he can come here and get paid for two years on a rebuilding team without a franchise quarterback? That is not a winning formula. The Bills need a quarterback, and then they need young receivers to grow with the quarterback. What's the point bringing in a guy that can hopefully play two more good years? I say no. Sign players that can play for more than a couple years.
