  1. Wood is the guy I would rather have right now. Yes, both those guys belong to the team who pays them. And I'm glad the Bills are not paying a whiner who sits out becaise the team "is losing anyway". I doubt that Peters is a real businessman, lol. Maybe his agent is. I wouldn't give him that much credit.
  2. Some one said he was far away the best, which is what I argued against. I never tried to say he was not very good.Obviously he's very good. In my opinion, we did however, do very well in that trade, based on who we got and Peter's attitute. Also Peters suffered an achilles injury which is very difficult to come back from and be the same player he once was. Yes, Wood has been injured, but not an injury he can't fully recover from. Peters was one of the best on 2012, I give you that, but we'll see if he can get back to that level.
  3. fair enough..this shows he's not the best http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8268257/nfl-scouts-inc-2012-top-offensive-tackle-rankings http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8268257/nfl-scouts-inc-2012-top-offensive-tackle-rankings
  4. this is just one http://espn.go.com/b...10-left-tackles now you show me "all kinds of media saying he the very best" I was wrong to imply you said he was far and away the best. But you did respond to my post replying to someone who did. So I assumed you agreed with him I agree with your post. I do think there are people with an agenda against the Bills that try to make Peters the second coming in order to make the Bills look bad. He's good, But as your post states, for various reasons, good riddance. THe Bills are not bad because of trading Peters. http://espn.go.com/b...10-left-tackles or just google 2011 top left tackles
  5. We all know that first team all pro does not make him the best Left tackle in the league.Joe thomas was better. I have no problem with you calling him a good or even great left tackle. But to try and say he was far and away the best in the league is ridiculous. I can find numerous football sources that list the best left tackles of 2011 and he's not even in the top 5. You want to make him the greatest left tackle to ever play the game because you have an agenda. The Bills drafted Wood with that pock. That's a pretty good trade off for a selfish , me first player
  6. Who said he was the best in 2011? Jason Peters? I'm sure if he is the source, then it is true. He was not far and away the best LT in the NFL, even in 2011. Where do you get this from?
  7. I agree. Hope he does not become a BIll
  8. I don't agree with this. He was not the best LT in the NFL prior to his injury. He gave up 11.5 sacks in 2008. How is that the best LT in the NFL?
  9. Don't quit your day job.
  10. This is correct, the cap is going up about 2% this year and next year is no better.
  11. I believe he did say what would have excited him. I liked your post, but the last part where you ask how can you not be enthused is a bit silly. Thirteen years of ineptitute with every year bringing false hope. They have done almost nothing in free agency and don't hav ea franchise quarterback. Their defense has been awful.
  12. The Bills still need some help at tight end.
  13. Just a quarterback. Great, they are all set
  14. And by 4 a.m. you were in love with them
  15. You don't trade out of number 8 for an extra third.
  16. It would be so ironic for the Bills to pick 3 quarterbacks in the first 3 rounds in a year where the draft class is so suspect.
  17. But would Buddy be willing to move down? He has not shown that he likes to do that. Besides, the Bills could get an impact player at number 8. So I think they stay right where they are and pick an outside linebacker, an offensice lineman or a wide reciever.
  18. You're fooling yourself. If the Bills had offered enough, he would have played under mickey mouse at quarterback
  19. Dibs, from what I have read from you, it would seem that the Bills organization is completely incompetant. Nix should have been gone yesterday and this team need s a new set of eyes. It;s painfully obvious how important it is for an organization to be able to know the salary cap inside and out and to be able to assess talent very accurately and value. Vision , seeing past the current season is very important also. I think Buffalo cleary fails in these areas. Thanks for the post, it was informative.
  20. The goal was to tag him, not to keep him on the team, but to try and get something back for him after the tag.Maybe a smart move, maybe not. Can a tean cut a guy after he was tagged?
  21. I can definately agree with this
  22. Not sure why you think the Bills will have more opportunities for these athletes than 90% of the other teams. Is it because they have been so bad for so long that The undrafted will think they have a better shot here? It's more than that. Teams have to first of all be able to identify the possible diamonds in the rough and then be able to convince the player to come here. But really, good teams round off their teams this way, they don't depend on it to make the team good. The Bills need to first get the draft right. I certainly hope out-recruiting other teams for undrafted players is not the top goal of this organization.
