  1. Maybe we shouldn't dig to deep into this
  2. I don't think I'm confusing the issue. By not going out and paying a proven head coach since Knox was here kind of proves he's not willing to pay for one. I mean was it not very clear after 20 plus years that hiring these unproven coaches and re-treads that this strategy was not working.? Maybe he was hoping to catch lightening in a bottle again by stumbling on another Poian. I can't say for sure, but from what I remember, Levy was never one of the highest paid coaches, even after the success. If I'm wrong about that, I do apologise This is true, but many believed that Ralph would never have paid the kind of money that was rumored to be on the table and that it was all a smoke screan. We will never know for sure.
  3. That's because PEDs are much more difficult to detect when they are taken up the ying yang
  4. I think it's about the Bucky Gleason article in today's Buffalo News
  5. If five Bills make the Pro Bowl, i'll buy you dinner
  6. I have to respectfully disagree. he paid Knox, but then how many coaches with proven track recordes were hired after Knox? Absolutely none. It's a known fact, as far as I've read over the years, that Ralph did not pay head coaches top dollar, Marv Levy came cheap because his track record was poor. How can you classify Levy as having a proven track record before coming to Buffalo? The coaches that were not yes men all were let go. Seriously, look at the hires from Chck Knox on. All yes men. None with the strong persoanlity it takes to really take the reigns and lead a football team. I will say, Marv Levy turned out to be a good coach, but with the talent Polian built, what coach wouldn't have won with that talent? It can be argued in another forum for a different time that many other coaches would have won a superbowl with that talent. Levy was definately a yes man also, in my opinion. What Ralph wanted , Ralph got with Marv. Yes, it's Ralph's team and he has the right to do what he wants with it, but mostly winning hasn't been one of them.
  7. I certainly don't wish it to happen, but Byrd will probably get injured soon after his return. Holdouts seem to get hurt often.
  8. If he had aids last year I doubt he would have led the team in receptions and touchdowns
  9. Sorry if this has been mentioned..but Torrell Troup tweeted this today. Torell Troup‏@TorellTroup9h Feels good to be in camp and kno that im truly healthy and dont have to worry about playin hurt. Worked hard for a year and a half for this. Is there hope for this guy to finally do something? Would be a pleasant surprise if he made an impact.
  10. This is a very good question. I agree at times it did appear that money was clearly the number one consideration in the decisions this franchise made. For example, when RW hired coaches, he didn't believe in paying top dollar for that position. He also wanted to enjoy his "toy" so never hired much more than yes men, who would not be unhappy with his meddling. But in a system where it is designed for parity, it has to go beyond the money factor. This franchise has hired the wrong people to make the decisions . Results are poor personell decisions, horrible drafting and awful coaching. Not until capable people are making the football decisions will this franchise have a chance.

  12. Miami might be the favorite to win the east for many. The Jets are going to be bad
  13. Grade A Jackass....i like that
  14. Some players don't start but play more snaps than the guy who actually starts the game.
  15. Yes, that was pretty bad. Classless
  16. No, he's there, and he looks like a top 3 safety
  17. Any more confessions to make before we move on?
  18. When did this turn into "defend the pats" post? LOL
  19. He certainly can't sit home and wait to show up. He would be fired. He has to bend over and take it or go look for a new job. New jobs are not knocking at his door. Byrd is in a much better situation than the guy in your illustration. If my contract runs out at work, they dont tag me and pay me the average of the top paid people in my field.
  20. Last time I checked , this was a message board. People have the right to say what they want. You can be as positive as you like and they can be as negative as they want to be. I would say don't take it so personally. It's only a message board.
  21. It'll be interesting to see what his former agent has to say. As far as shouldn't he as a professional attend voluntary workouts? The workouts are voluntary, and the players association negotiated them as such. Some players like to work out where they live because of family and/or personal issues going on. While I agree with the concept that it's a good idea to be around the coaches and your teammates, not all can do it.
  22. I wish the owner of the byrd thread would close it..although I just posted there
