  1. haikus do suck haikus really suck haikus suck bad
  2. Defenses are ranked by yardage allowed. A more accurate way, I think, to rank a defense is to divide the number of yards allowed by the number of plays the opponent had. The Bills hurry up scheme can skew the yardage since the Bills' defense could be forced to play more. Third down stop percentage is another important indicator.
  3. You're right, it doesn't feel the same. The losing still hurts but I feel the Bills can compete with just about anyone. That feeling was not there in past years. They have been in every game so far.
  4. If the Bills actually finished 8-8 or 9-7 they wouild be headed in the right direction, not screwing themselves. I think many Buffalo fans have gotten to the point where the draft position is all they think about. They most likely have to go 8-8 before they go 11-5. We knew they wouldn't be a playoff team this year. And we all know that drafting position doesn't guarantee a great pick. Great picks can be had at position 18-25 also. With this being said, I don't see the Bills as an 8-8 team this year.
  5. This thread shows how a good argument can be made for either a positive or a negative view of the direction and decision making of this organization. I think we need to let this year play out and actually see how the off season is handled and then see the results next year to know for sure if the culture is changing here and if the right coaches were hired and if the right player moves are being made. I'm hoping for the best but I fear the worst.
  6. What about the Cleveland player who celebrated the injury?
  7. Cleveland has some classless jerks on that team
  8. I think Hackett has improved. In the Cleveland game, we saw some draws and some reverses that worked so he called them at the right times. We can only hope that Hackett continues to learn and improve. I am optimistic that he will because he seems like an intelligent person.
  9. Tim Russert was a Bills fan through and through. He's gone way too soon. His Son is doing him proud.
  10. I am pretty sure that post was tongue in cheek
  11. I have to laugh at people annointing Gino Smith after 5 games. How quickly people forget what happened with Trent Edwards.
  12. You might be right. In the patriots game, Gino had numerous chances to win that game but threw 3 horrible picks. EJ wins that game.
  13. Agreed....doesn't inspire confidence in the people making the football decisions at One Bills Drive
  14. Almost every game there are pass interference calls and illegal contact calls and non calls that might be called in one game but the very same play would not be called in another. Even in the same game, refs make calls and then ignore seemingly the same penalty later in the game. Refs are human being and make mistakes. Some refs are clearly better than others and hopefuly the league grades these guys and replaces the bad ones. In all reality, a team needs to beat their opponent bad enough so that the bad calls can be overcome. Look at the Bills/Pariots, week one. The Bills were called for holding several times but the Patriots got away with holding at times when I believe the replay showed them holding.I believe certain teams get the benefit of the doubt over others in the minds of some refs. Again, human nature. Is it right? Of course not, but this is the way it is.
  15. I believe he comes back at a time where he feels he can show his worth to the league while at the same time minimizing his chancess of getting hurt. Could he play now if he wanted to? It sure appears that way. No one can say for sure except him and maybe Eugene parker
  16. It's the Bills. Everything is always worse than expected
  17. The extra attention is exactly what they want.
  18. I agree, these lawyers can take circumstantial evidence apart. He will harp on the fact that the jury can't convict him if there is a reasonable doubt. His lawyer will create a reasonable doubt in the jury's mind. Even though everyone watching will know he's 100% guilty, the jury will overthink things just like in the Casey Anthony case. These high paid lawyers know how to play jurys.
  19. I think the Bills stay competitive in this one, but lose it in the 4th quarter with a turnover or two
  20. almost every played knows that there is a very good chance they don't play the entire contract
  21. I think it might be Byrd's(E.Parker's) plan to sit most of the year and come back for just enough games to show the rest of the league that he still has the ability to be great. This minimizes his chances of getting hurt and at the same time, in his mind, to be able to get top money in free agency. He would also think that this would force the Bils to not franchise him next year. Of course that would be violating the collective bargaining agreement but too hard to prove since it's a convenient type of injury for this course of action.
  22. People say it's mostly about execution, but I think the offensive game plan also plays a major role along with the play calling. Hackett doesn't seem to know how to attack an opponent's weeknesses. Who is watching the Bills and can't see that they seem to run only a handfull of plays. It's predictable and boring. Hackett is bad.
  23. This idiot DC needs to be reined in by the loud mouth head coach. He's trying to make excuses for the player who lost his cool because SJ was beating him on the field. Instead of getting his player under control, he now gives him more excuses to take more pemalties since his coach is telling the world that he was justified. What a bunch of clowns in that organizatin.
  24. YES!!!!! just like what happened withn the Sabres.....wait..oh right, that didn't work either.
