  1. Time for Dane Jackson and Cam Lewis to step up. No, neither is T White, but both are capable. Here is their opportunity. And i would suspect we'll see more zone, at least to their side, than we have.
  2. If Doyle develops to being a starter at one of the Tackle positions (with S Brown at the other), or the Bills get another starter in the off-season, I would expect they move Dawkins to left guard next season. By the way, I was excited to see Bates at RG for a few plays, but unfortunately not long enough to make a true assessment--but he did well in his brief appearance before getting injured. And then Douglas came in before Ford returned, and both he and Bates did respectable.
  3. He did, and I would suggest having the big guys in the middle, Bryant and Ankou occupying people, helps him. I hope they keep them around even after Star returns. Beef in the middle helps a lot.
  4. Efficient, professional, gut-check win! Just what the doctor ordered. On to New England.
  5. That was a head scratching series of plays. 3rd and inches and we don’t have the courage to run for it?????
  6. Okay, need a 6+ minute drive with at least 3 to ice this game.
  7. I know many here disagree, but I would rather have Moss or McKenzie active over T Jones. But, it’s a wasted sentence. This staff believes his value as a ST player outweighs what the others bring. I don’t, but I’m not in charge.
  8. Agreed, but it's one of those games where any results has positive outcomes for the Bills. And as such, I will root for the Titans. 🤣
  9. Happy Thanksgiving TBD friends! Trust each of you have many things to be thankful for. And especially for our Buffalo Bills when they take down the Saints this evening.
  10. Playing on Thursday really hurt this possibility. A perfect storm.
  11. A fun trip for Thanksgiving, Have a great time.
  12. That is sad. I hope no one is hurt and he gets the help he needs.
  13. Yeah, that play gets forgotten, but I would suggest it more than any other changed the trajectory of this season. A holding call 30 yards away from the play (and it was holding), stupid, stupid, stupid. What seems like little things at the time can make a big difference in the long view. Ugh!
  14. Will Jones go the Trubinsky route next year? I could see that for him. A new record, it only took one post. A HOF post right here?
  15. I agree with this point, Gugny. We have watched two games this year where there was a real commitment to the run, the first Miami game and the Jets game two weeks ago (and not coincidentally, both after tough losses)--and yes, neither team is that great, but they both have respectable D-lines. In both games, with that commitment to the run, the Bills were effective. Actually, very effective. It is possible, but the commitment has to be there. And if you've watched the last few NO games, it seems teams that want to run the ball against them have been able to do that. Coming off another bad loss, a team that can be run upon, and in a "must win" situation, if the Bills don't commit to it this week, then when?
  16. I will be the contrarian here: The "no heart" mantra is weak and unhelpful. Just like there is lazy reporting, there can be lazy takes on message boards. The "no heart" take is easy to throw out, but almost impossible to measure or evaluate. On occasion, you'll see a player, and maybe even a whole unit sort of give up on the field. But really, that is rare, and hard to prove, or disprove. That is the conundrum of all religions, the problem for us human followers is that who of us is worthy to judge another man's heart? Whether that be in their devotion to a God or their dedication on a playing field. We can't. But even in religion, we can judge what another person does or doesn't do. So I offer a more simple solution, maybe the level of talent and ability is just not there? That can be measured, sometimes by combine drills and stopwatches, and maybe even stats, but most telling are the results on the field. I don't know about heart, but what I seen over the past four games has been inconsistent play and uneven results on the field. I suspect that is more about a talent deficit at several positions rather than lack of "heart or "want-to", especially when starters are out for COVID and injuries. Just saying. Go ahead and flame away.
  17. Generally, except for the terrible 1st drive penalty, he wasn't noticeable, which is normally a good thing for online-men.
  18. Where are those reports? I (all of us) would be very curious to see them. Thanks.
  19. It has been a frustrating season. Still not sure what we have in this team. Well, I'm sure of one thing: we have a lot of inconsistency.
