  1. Buddy Nix, quit posting and get out there and find us some players.
  2. Why no Newton on the poll?
  3. "If there's no football next year, losing games will help us two years in a row!" In the words of Marv Albert, "YES!"
  4. Bills need lineman first (either side of the ball), Fig Newton would be a reasonable 2nd round consideration - provided Fitz plays out the season well.
  5. Can we throw Maybin in with the 49er's too?
  6. Agreed! It really couldn't be any worse, at least these guys have the speed to run down their mistakes.
  7. Aaron Maybin . . . seriously, watch him tear it up next year
  8. From the Philadelphia Daily News this morning, lamenting the poor trades and free agent signing of the Eagles: "Left tackle Jason Peters hardly has proven to be worth the millions the Eagles threw at him last year when they acquired him from the Bills. Maybe that will change. Maybe he'll come back from his recent knee clean-out and be the player the Eagles hoped he would be. But considering his questionable work ethic and motor, I seriously doubt it." (Paul Domowitch, Philadelphia Daily News) The article link Although it still doesn't feel right, in the end, I think the Bills got the better part of that trade.
  9. To add to the sillyness: Is Bill Cowher still looking for a job?
  10. yep! and he just isn't, another draft pick
  11. D Line keepers: Kyle Williams, and drafted rookies.
  12. Ouch! Do you have the cred around here to say this ????
  13. alright, then how about Perry F.
  14. Nothing to lose, might as well give it a shot! Because as has already been pointed out, we are so loaded at the position.
  15. The thing that is so frustrating about the Maybin pick, is that he wasn't even suppose to be the starter at Penn State in his "one hit wonder year." I forget whom it was, but their starter got in JoePa's dog house, was susspended for a few games to open the 2008 season, so Maybin comes in, gets a few sacks against Costal Carolina, and then Temple, and - good for him - he has cashed in on the opprtunity by basically doing nothing since then (not even at PSU - check it out, most of his sacks came early in the season against the money-maker teams on the PSU schedule, and there wasn't much production after that). Which leaves us all to wonder, how could they have swung and missed so badly on this guy. Well, he's not done yet, let's hope he can at least grow into a productive player.
  16. Newton would be the ideal Chan QB
  17. It's Flutie or the Music City Miracle - one in the same, or was the MCM because of Flutie? Either or, that was the final event in a string misfortunes (since then, we’ve just stunk), and the Bills still haven’t recovered. I think the only solution is to invite the diminutive one back, and let him lead us back from the dead and into the play-offs this year!
  18. Yep! There really is no risk involved. The Bills need players, anyway you can get them. He comes back - Great! He doesn't - no big deal.
  19. It is mystifying, we essentially have the same group (with supposed ungrades at Linebacker? Remember Ellison, Contro, Mitch., etc.). And for the most part, we are still playing four down lineman (so not really a 3-4 problem). So what is it, we were not good the last few years, but certainly respectible? I'm starting to lean towards coaching, something is obviously not working.
  20. I think he should be moved inside, with his speed (athleticism as they call it), at least he could chase guys down, and he's a one trick pony on the outside = his pattened speed rush to nowhere on the outside edge. Wouldn't moving him inside at least give him a chance to fool people once-in-a-while on the pass rush. And let's face it, he can't be any worse than any of the rest of the linebacking crew at covering and tackling people.
  21. It's apples to oranges, the Pats have draft choices to burn ... they've stock-piled a bunch, enought they could risk over-paying for help needed now in a play-off run; something we can't even fathom.
  22. Amen! But since this team is going nowhere, might as well give Brohm a crack .... Ftiz is consumate back-up, and could get a job with some team tomorrow if he was released. But this is the year, if there ever was one, to see what BB can do, or not.
  23. The whole idea is improbable: "Would give you a 3rd round pick if you would only have call us" .... come on people, I would have married Heidi Klum if she would have just called me. But, just like my relatioship with Heidi, it's over, let's move on!
  24. who is Newton?
  25. Ditto! If a team is bad, and this team is, then your draft picks, especially your high ones, ought to be able to contribute right away. Other than part-time help from Spiller, who else is even seeing the field? That, along with what are some other very strange moves (Edwards, Lynch, etc.) are causing me a lot of doubts -- but I really do hope I'm wrong. Unfortunately, I personally have not seen one major personnel move over the past 10 months that insures confidence that this regime really does have a plan and the savvy to pull it off. I challenge anyone to make the case that they have—is there one positive thing that we can say “yeah, they are on to something here”?
