Shawne merriman is back with the Bills
CSBill replied to superbills315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the Kyle Moore idea ... he played well in pre-season, time to step up! Or, what about Alex Carrington? I think he played better last year out on the edge, he has virtually disappeared at the tackle position. -
Gino Smith !!!!!!!

WOW! CJ Spiller practices and expects to play
CSBill replied to LiterateStylish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he does play = a non-factor in the passing game, where you have to reach up and out on occasion ??? -
What is most impressive about these statistics is the TD to Interception ratio - 75 TDs to 14 Interceptions. No matter what the system, those are incredible numbers. I would say, future franchise QB numbers.

Bills Patriots Injury Report *Mankins OUT!!!*
CSBill replied to Rockinon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Belicheck is the biggest manipulator of injury reports in the league." Yuuup! Watch how the mad-genius performs his medical miracles and these guys are up and ready to go at 1:00 PM on Sunday. Regardless, I like our chances on Sunday. -
This makes far too much common sense to ever happen. Good work!

Interesting OL stats: big boys are rumbling
CSBill replied to l< j's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jut read this from a Boston Globe article . . . "Cordy Glenn, a second-round pick, has done a surprisingly solid job at left tackle. Left guard Andy Levitre has had some struggles, while center Eric Wood and right guard Kraig Urbik are good. Very good right tackle Erik Pears has had increased playing time after dealing with a groin injury in the preseason." Really, "left guard Andy Livitre has had some struggles"??? Wow! Do your homework BG writers. -
If the Bills don't want to take that risk, you know someone else will, he's too good to let him walk
-
sad to see him go, he has been the consummate professional, and for many years was the Bills best player. Well, let's hope Powell doesn't shank one this week . . .

With the rash of RB injuries, and McKelvin's success as a return man (he is fast, and seems to know what to do with the ball in his hands) and his demotion on defense, is it time to get creative and give him a few looks on offense? Interestingly, this week's opponent, Belichick is the master mad scientist when it comes to this sort of thing--it seems he is always moving people around to unfamiliar positions, and getting good production from them. Is it time to give him a little bit of his own witches brew? I know McKelvin has hands of stone sometime of defense; but, like last week, he occasionally comes up with an interception and he has developed into a pretty reliable punt and kickoff catcher. Could he be utilized in a slot position, to then be an end-around threat? short pass and go type of receiver? some running plays that get him to the edge? etc. Your thoughts?

Ah! A Butch Rolle reset . . . the Ultimate "Rolle" Player, all he did was score touchdowns, that's all

So, is the rule if he fumbled the ball (which, regardless of our opinions, is the call that was made by the replay official) is it counted as a sack, even though he wasn't touched or forced into the aledged "fumble"?

To all . . . good discussion, but please don't violate any laws. My bigger point to the two rags: Yes, you can charge, its your property, and your right to do so .... but is it a good business decision? That, I would content, is a "No." The little they make by this paradigm shift will be off-set by the goodwill they lose. The bottom line is, they make their money through selling advertisements, and if people are turned-off by the fees, less will view the ads. they do sell, and then less businesses will buy the ads. Maybe they have calculated that and feel the risk/reward is worth it, but I doubt it.

Can the Bills Beat the Pats w/o CJ and FredEx
CSBill replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can the Bills Beat the Pats w/o CJ and FredEx? Yeap! The Cardinals and Ravens both did it without either one. -
Someone at the Rochester D&C has apparently misunderstood what the WWW is all about and is now in some misguided and sadistic attempt to capitalize on the well known toxic addictions of the Buffalo Bills fans -- it now seems as though we out of town'ers, have to pay a subscription to get access to their articles. NEVER!!! Its time to fight this money grab, please do three things, if you would . . . 1) Can someone who has access (if its free), copy and paste the articles into TBD, so the rest of the world can share in the brilliance of the R D&C sports columnists. 2) For everyone else - boycott this tyrrany! PLEASE DO NOT succumb to this capitalist takeover attempt of the internet. 3) Write them a note telling them what you think of their stunt. Time to stand up and and be counted Bills fans! And, have a good day . . . because the Bills won! Even the R D&C cannot rob me of that joy.

Brian Moorman Has Been Awful
CSBill replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said it in another thread, I'll say it here: I would rather see him kicking it 30 yards and out of bounds, then watching Cribbs run one back for a TD! BTW: In case you haven't noticed, our coverage units have NOT been very stellar. "Do whatever you can to keep them a non-factor, keep kicking it out Brian, keep it up the good work!" -
Mooreman was mentioned twice: People, hew as not "terrible," he was intentionally punting the ball away from the most dangerous return man in the NFL. . . . A 30 yard punt that goes out of bounce on the side is much better than a 50 yard punt that gets run back into the end zone. Granted, maybe a few could go longer, but if you're gong to miss on them, miss outside, never inside the hash marks --- and that is what he did today.

That was a successful gut check...
CSBill replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
agreed! -
But it was the booth that overturned the call on the field--the replacement refs had it right, again, how was there enough evidence to reverse that call ??????

Blitzing, press coverage, and throwing deep
CSBill replied to Optometric Insight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
would like to see a few deep throws, at least to show it ... but, this game really didn't call for it -
I saw that the Bills gave up a sack, but couldn't recall where it was. In looking at the game thread, the fumble was called a sack (first, it should not have been ruled a fumble, how they could overturn that? It deserves an explanation). Anyhow, Fitz was not touched on the play, how can it be credited for a sack? Am I missing something here? In the big picture, not a big deal -- but for the pride of the offensive line, it is a big deal. Real Stat: 3 games = 0 Sacks given up by this line, and another solid running game (139 yards) out of them, even without the #1 and #1A backs!
