I agree with pretty much everything you say, accept this "Game management by our new Head Coach" ???? Really? I would say, this was a big question mark in the first three games, game four was a marked improvement and showed a willingness to be teachable and adjust. That is good, but one out of four is a bad ratio. Time will tell, I think it took a turn for the good, but the verdict is still out on this one.

But you raise one issue that has caught my attention (maybe others have said it), why would the team that was known as one of the best in the league last year at it, not run any screen plays? I may be wrong, but I cannot recall the BIlls running one yet this season. It seems to me, with Spiller being most effective when given open space, and Fred Jackson's uncanny ability to make much more out of little, we have the idea backs for a barrage of screens--which the last few seasons can testify too. Why has it completely disappeared?

Proving once again, it's all relative to the circumstances, and probably further cementing Pettine early enshrinement into the TBD Coaches Hall of Fame. Thursday night games are usually not good football (shorten week reduces it to the basics). It will come down to line play, which team can run? and which team can stop the run? . . . and for that reason, I like our chances in a low scoring, not too pretty, slugfest.

No doubt, he is the MVP of the coaching staff after four games. Hackett's play calling was smart today, at least for 3 1/2 quarters--and that is improvement.
