  1. The Young idea is interesting, however, I think it will end up being Brown or Snow, both played last season and seemed to do well when given their opportunities.
  2. WOW! What I like, is this staff is willing to take the big risk/reward picks on guys that have had issues. You only do that when you have confidence that you will create culture that will force these guys to grow, or get off the bus. And when they do grow, wow!
  3. Yeah, I like that!
  4. Our starting LG is already on the roster (Snow, Brown, Sanders, Grant, and Chris Scott may be the wildcard, and I would not be surprised to see Hairston there either), we have a strong online, and pretty solid depth there already. Sure, we would have liked to get one of the top guys, but you only have so many picks.
  5. all thins considered, a very good draft so far . . . lets keep it up today ... I can't wait for mini-camps
  6. A cheaper version of Tavon Austin . . . think of it this way, we got a Tavon-like player in the 3rd, and a QB in the 1st. Could be real fun!
  7. Snow, Brown, and/or Sanders will step in, and the line will be fine. It is a solid unit, I'm not convinced we need to draft any lineman, but if a very good one is there, sure, take him.
  8. he's now a full time WR
  9. Great pick, the guy I personally wanted all along, has much more upside then all the other options: athletic, strong arm, leader, . . . all good!
  10. If this is what happens, I will be very happy. Please! Please! Please! TBD, don't draft a QB just to draft one (which is the Kool Aid too many fans are drinking). Again, there are none here that are any better then what you already have. Sure, take a chance on someone in the third, or thereafter, but don't waste an 8th pick on the best of what are 2nd & 3rd round quality players.
  11. QB - Geno Smith - Cleveland Browns WR - Cordarrelle Patterson - Minnesota Vikings TE - Tyler Eifert - New York Jets OT - Luke Joeckel - Kansas City LB - Dion Jordan - Detroit Lions
  12. great point, but also a nice sign that what appears to be our top three choices are the top three.
  13. I'm old enough to have seen all of these, but I can't put Mike Williams that high, he was decent at the beginning, but then his personal demons short-curcuited his career. I would, however, not disagree with the rest . . . although I do believe McCargo deserves some love here. Maybin, not even a contest, clear cut #1 Bills bust of all time!
  14. "subterfuge" . . . . remember who you're talking to here
  15. and if they pick either of these, we'll still be waiting for them to pick a 1st round QB
  16. The problem is, none of the QBs available are franchise QBs, they're all developmental types. Thus, the three is best, 2 real starters, and maybe a QB of the future if he develops. And this reality (no sure starters in the lot of QBs) is why I am not excited about taking a QB with the 8th pick . . . it is simply way too big of a gamble. So if you can trade back and get a second 1st round pick, then yes, take one of them with the extra pick---much less risk with two picks.
  17. Yuuup! Just a slower and less experience version of Fitz. I Hope >>> EJ MANUEL yeah, what does that tell you . . . don't get caught trying to out think the room
  18. "The Bills earned that #8 pick, you don't throw it down the toilet at slow, unathletic average armed QBs prospect just because they're "gym rats"." EXACTLY! Just say no to average Joe QB, draft a plater worthy of the 8th pick, don't reach for a sketchy QB
  19. What was so frustrating was there never seemed to be any adjustments. What's the definition of insanity? "Doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results."
  20. Here's my problem with Barkley and Nassib, I don't see either one of them as any better then Jackson or Kolb. Both TJ and KK are average QBs -- they have their own unique strengths and weaknesses, but neither is head-and-shoulders above the other. And Barkley and Nassib are just like them, both will be average NFL QBs, they have their good things, balanced out by their limitations. Neither one has the skills and/or athletic ability of last year's QB crop (Luck, RG3, Wilson). Nor do I think either one has much upside, what see is what you get. And in my opinion, what you see is very underwhelming. Both have some good attributes, but neither screams greatness, or potential greatness??? So I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I see only one QB in this draft with real star potential. There is one QB with a gun for an arm, with athleticism and foot speed, and with that "it" leadership factor: EJ Manuel. Buddy, do what you can to get him! As for the others, if you can't get EJ, then take what's available in the 2nd if you think you need (although I would wait to the 3rd or later; that is, if you really feel you need a developmental QB that badly), but neither of these two is a noticeable upgrade in what you already have (or had in Ftiz), so why waste a high pic on them?
  21. YUUUUP !!!!
