  1. Not sure why you say he had/has a guard's body? He seems to have the ideal height, wing span, and athleticism for the left tackle spot. Yes, he could improve in some areas, but he had a very good rookie season and there is no reason to believe he won't improve with a year of experience.
  2. I want to see EJ win the starting job in the next three days!
  3. that's 8 skill position players, with one QB, a center to hike the ball, and we're down to one o-lineman . . . something has to give.
  4. Really? Canada should certainly be above Global Warming.
  5. good, we need that kind of nasty
  6. at that time we'll be in first place in the AFC East, and then we just quit while we're ahead
  7. I have to agree about NOT trading him. The Bills for too long have developed young talented players, and then let them walk (or trade them) when its time to pay them. Should we pay through the roof? No. But if this franchisee wants to truly compete, you have to pay to keep the best players.
  8. Further evidence that Wanny had not a clue . . . ugh, what a waste he was
  9. Her wrists are rolled in a little too much, but the legs, the legs look great!
  10. I remember when we really wanted him, I think they would still take him . . . can he play left guard? Or, can one of the current RTs move over the LG?
  11. Exhibit A => AARON MAYBIN!
  12. the most remarkable thing here, this topic has lasted this long and now we're into the 3rd page
  13. Mel Kiper trolling on the TBD message board . . .
  14. That firing was one of the weirdest things to happen in recent Bills history, still not sure what that accomplished?
  15. yeah, too bad no one picked him up, I hope for him, he does get a chance somewhere.
  16. I was actually thinking about this today while mowing my yard (helps the time go a bit faster). Anyhow, I simply think the BIlls are going to follow the example of the Baltimore Ravens in the Play-offs last year--they resigned Bryant McKinney to a new deal today. If you recall, at some point towards the end of the year, the Ravens decided they were going to start their 5 best lineman, regardless of the listed position. I think that is what the Bills are about to do as well. Several posters have suggested that Zanders, maybe even Hairston or Pears might move inside. I think it could very well happen; that is, if they are among the top 5 linemen on the team. I, however, think that Brown played pretty well when called upon last year, and I would not be surprised at all if he does end up being the starting LG.
  17. Kyle Williams cut? Seriously . . . This makes me yearn for the endless threads of speculation about who we would take with the number 8 pick: Barkley or Nassib?
  18. It's interesting, with the receivers cut, drafted, and signed as free agents, the BIlls will have a completely different look at that position this year. I think it will be better (certainly faster). But I believe it tells you something about the offense they plan to run: get the ball to fast people in space, and let them run. Oh, and don't forget we already have one of the fastest players in the NFL in Spiller, who is a pretty good pass catcher and runner himself. I'm excited to see what they have planned.
  19. Still have your Nassib love on??? And "Back to Manuel; How many of you were stump jumping for him before we drafted him?" Yes, I was/did!- said it several time on the board. He was was my top choice from the beginning, would have been happy with him at 8, but getting him at 16, and Alonzo to go with him . . . excellent draft! Mel Kiper be damned.
  20. Further evidence of why we got the right guy, and it certainly wasn't him.
  21. Yeah, to me, that was the real mystery of what was an awful defense the past two years. It seems we have good personal upfront, so why couldn't they stop anybody on the ground? The common perception was, our LBs were at fault. Okay, I hope that was the case, and I would add to that the incredible depth of inept coaching (I never liked the Wanny hiring from the beginning, and time proved me correct). Here's hoping the poor strategy (if we even had one), and weak LB group, is now fixed, or at least on the way to being fixed. So back to my point, I believe the line has the talent to be good, but they need the help of a better scheme, and some decent LB play. In the end, I think the defense--especially our D Line--will be the strength of this team this coming season.
  22. Wow, a few years ago there would be some top Fantasy League TEs here. I would go after: Dallas Clark Kevin Boss Kellen Winslow Todd Heap Visanthe Shiancoe Randy McMichael Chris Cooley If any of these still have something left in the tank, it would probably be an upgrade.
  23. Keith Ellison .... wow, haven't heard that name in a while, got shivers when I read it.
  24. http://youtu.be/pK_ABNHjbk4 Who the Hell is Mel Kiper?
