  1. no surprise here, I think they've been waiting for him to get healthy, and not soon enough
  2. But, the Bengals also suck on offense, we'll see that is also a great mystery
  3. I'm with you, he seemed like the logical choice all along. Except that Marrone said he wasn't last week, why would we be confused ??? Anyhow, I DO think he gives us the best chance to win, and certainly Pat White was not a step up or over him. Come on, when it comes to learning and processing information, no offense WVU alums, but I'll take a Duke guy over a WV guy any day.
  4. As we've thrown less passes downfield then last year, this would have been a very sensible option. But so far, as much as I like some aspects of the new regime, their handling of the QB situation--ever since Kolb & Manuel were both hurt in pre-seaon--has been an epic fail. Once Kolb went down, we had no plan B, and still don't. Well, lets hope Pat White is a miracle worker . . . the biggest question for him, how fast a learner is he? Answer: Wonderlick Score = 22, ouch
  5. we better hope, because as of this morning, the BIlls still don't have a capable backup
  6. pathetic! Nassib, Flynn, Gradkowski, etc., we are not serious here, right? .... an all-pro safety for guys who will probably be cut before next season starts, yeap, the formula for building a championship team.
  7. this !!! Tuel should have been there from the start, injuries have messed up the QB position (especially back-up) sense training camp, but it's time to get it fixed.
  8. So, with all this focus on getting a new QB, we're heard nothing about a punter. And as we saw in Cleveland, a bad punter can cost you a game quicker than a walk into the kitchen to resupply the chip bowl. Any hints?
  9. Sign Freeman! Do whatever it takes! He can start right now, and dare I say it, he may even be an upgrade from EJ (at least for this season).
  10. right! there's a reason they're available ..... except one, Josh Freeman is NFL starter ready. So if he is really a pain in the a#$%, fine, use him and cut him when EJ gets back
  11. why didn't Dixon stick in Philly? he was even an Oregon guy. I like him, but this makes me wonder.
  12. 1 - Josh Freeman 2 - Dennis Dixon 3 - Pat White 4 - Tim Tebow What do all four have in common, they can run. Which would be their biggest edge and help in a short prep and small play book that a week would give them. Also, concerning bringing in someone who might threaten EJ for a starting roll. So what, I want the best possible players put there, if EJ can't stay over them, so be it. Best man wins, this is the NFL.
  13. ask Byrd, I'm sure it won't be good
  14. what game were you watching?
  15. Well, I did see a screen pass last night (and it worked for a good gain), that is progress, right? I like the idea of bringing Gailey back, he was a mastermind with the offense. .... but not good at building a staff.
  16. At this point, how could they release Carpenter? ANd why are we holding a valuable roster spot for Hopkins? Let him go, and get some Oline or Dback help
  17. This might be the best argument for a trade. But, I doubt it will happen.
  18. We thought the same thing about the Jets, and Geno, yes! Geno Smith carved us up ..... well, carved up Justin Rodgers. But I tend to have the same thoughts, how can Hoyer scare us? But, beware, he is an NFL quarterback. I think the BIlls D going to more zone coverage last week was a huge plus, I hope they stay with it this week against the weak armed and inconsistent Hoyer.
  19. correct, I haven't seen it ... my apologies for rushing to judgment
  20. I agree with pretty much everything you say, accept this "Game management by our new Head Coach" ???? Really? I would say, this was a big question mark in the first three games, game four was a marked improvement and showed a willingness to be teachable and adjust. That is good, but one out of four is a bad ratio. Time will tell, I think it took a turn for the good, but the verdict is still out on this one.
  21. unfortunately, it is also the start of the MLB play-offs, no matter who wins, it will be page two news
  22. Yuuup! why all the hate QB? totally uncalled for, your post says way more about you than Fitz
  23. It's the NFL, someone will take the risk of over-paying for him
