  2. No matter how prepared or healthy or rusty EJ is, it would be smart to pound the ball all day long: Spiller right, Spiller left, Jackson right, Jackson left, we may even give Choice a carry or two, and who's our fullback now? give him a few as well, etc. And let's not forget, for all the excitement about our new highly aggressive defense (which I'm all in favor of), they were still getting gashed in the preseason running game (which was a huge issue last year--NEWS FLASH: our biggest problems from last year was not the QB or the offense). The longer we can keep our defense off the field, the better for everyone.
  3. I know we're better than both the Colts and Vikings, we crushed them in the preseason!
  4. Okay, I get it, Hopkins injured. But why not bring back Lindell, I think he would be more reliable than Carpenter?
  5. Well, considering all that has happened to the Bills the past two weeks, maybe it's time for some Divine intervention? Maybe Tim T. can break the dreaded evil Doug Flutie curse.
  6. Many have mentioned Minnifield, why does he remind of Leodis Mc.? High pick, looks like he should e good, but just doesn't get it done? Chase Minnifield: http://www.nfl.com/p...2532913/profile However, he may still be better than what we have now.
  7. I was wondering about that little fact.
  8. Three observations/thoughts: 1) First, I think it means they feel very confident that EJ Manuel will be back next week. 2) As for a 3rd QB, I have liked the idea of Dixon all along--much better option than the list of Notre Dame rejects listed above. 3) I would assume they are in discussions with someone or this move would not have been made today (that is, cutting Lewis).
  9. Winfield just released: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000236919/article/antoine-winfield-reportedly-cut-by-seattle-seahawks
  10. this guy! now! Antonie Winfield! just released
  11. He was good enough to be selected as a replacement for the Pro Bowl last year: link Like . . . ah?, hmmm?, you know? ah? . . . on the Bills?
  12. Hogan is a keeper, a Wes Welker type of player
  13. the three I would take a look at: Webb, Starks, Dixon .... I think all three would be back-up upgrades. And as a few mentioned, Webb might be an eventual candidate for LG.
  14. Somewhere in the world, Dick Jauron is smiling.
  15. Someone in the national media said it (I can't recall whom), I was also thinking it, and I believe we saw it last night: The advantage of Lewis over Lienart is his athleticism and ability to move/run. They're about equal in passing ability (and neither one was that good), but with the state of this team, and the lack of time to learn the full offense, the new backup QB who can run and make things happen with his feet is more valuable than the immobile one. It has to be Lewis.
  16. I'm with you on that, I still can't figure out why we didn't make a run at him .... but maybe he didn't want to stay here. Wasn't he an All-Pro last season? Regardless, I think Snow will be the top interior reserve, he has played both guard and center. Sam Young did some time at LG in the early pre-season as well. Next option, go dumpster diving on Saturday.
  17. No, it's Flutie, and after how he was treated at the end, this franchise deserves it. Who sits their starting QB in the play-offs? One of the great mysteries of all time.
  18. The current QB situation does add a lot more intrigue to what otherwise would have been a glorified practice . . . I am more interested in Lewis, I think he is far more athletic and has a bigger upside than Lienart. It will be interesting to see how they perform (as well as Tuel - will he take advantage of this opportunity?).
  19. good! Keep him as far away from the field as you can on Thursday night. He'll be back for NE
  20. just their play during the games
