  1. After reading this, I am questioning whether the Bills won this game or not? Oh yeah, it was a blow-out. One important detail was missed in all the analysis: THE SCORE!
  2. Well, at least we're ahead of three of our last five opponents; thus, we should win those games, right?
  3. I have to admit, first thing I thought, the guy (assuming it was a guy) was drunk out of his head . . .
  4. Unsung hero's today . . . Doug Legursky - Wilkenson was never heard from Also, Chris Carpenter … who was that other kicker at the beginning of the season? Manny Lawson, got to love his effort
  5. This! for the mercurial (and if you have to look it up, it's you!) Buffalo Bills TBD posters calling for Tuel, to draft a QB, etc., etc.
  6. Fred Jackson is more a gamer, not fast, but quick and strong with the ball in his hands—and has great vision. He seems to always comes through when needed, is a tremendous blocker, and can catch and run with the ball. Spiller has more speed, he too can be very productive as a pass receiver, not as good a blocker or instinctive runner as Jackson. But, when given space, can take it to the house. Here's what I would love to see, more (any?) sets with the both of them in the back field. I think with some creativity, it would keep defenses off balance trying to guess which is going to get the carry, and as said above, both are above average as pass receivers.
  7. Yayyyyy
  8. Too Funny You win, #1 post of this going no where thread.
  9. haha, best line in the entire thread
  10. a 70% accuracy rate will make him a lot of money in Vegas, what reason would he have to change his strategy now?
  11. Well, at least it wasn't a Facebook, relationship status change.
  12. this! …. and yes, the curse is real
  13. My captain obvious comment: the Defense has improved, and the offense has digressed. So this is a serious suggestion: Is it time to bring back Chan to be the Offensive Coordinator? . . . I would be all for it, especially comparing him to what we have now.
  14. Might be time to give Easley and Hogan serious playing time. As for Stevie, the season is now over, let him rest and heal. . . . Trade him? STOP!
  15. Not much I disagree with Bill, and I would add: 1) Hackett continues to baffle: Riddle me this . . . What came first, the chicken or the egg? Why don't the Bills throw the ball more than five yards down the field when EJ Manuel is the QB? Does he check down all the time, or does Hackett not trust him to? 2) Concerning Hackett: (I said this in the 2nd half thread) Did they change the rules so that you can no longer run up the middle, you know, take your best unit, tell them to hit the guys in front of them—who by the way, have been giving up like a 150 yards a game—and go straight forward. No, we try what has to be an NFL record number of sweep plays. And here is what is so frustrating, not one, no, not one, worked! 3) And again on our boy Hackett: Seems he forgot that thing called a screen play, but he did manage to find one in the 4th quarter, but way too late by then. ugh!
  16. Is there a new rule in the NFL that you can't run the ball straight up the field? You must now run a sweep every time, right? Because that what the Bills are doing. They knew we were good at running between he tackles, just look at what we did last week, so this week, of course, don;t ry that once.
  17. Hacketts game plan is based on one HUGELY bad assumption: that EJ Manuel is a NFL ready QB. So we abandon the run, against a team that has been run over all year, and design an offense around a QB who won;t throw more than five yards down field.
  18. Do we have a new Captain Checkdown? At least Thad and Tuel looked to throw the ball down field. Come on!
  19. He may not be as on top of the Bills as the typical TBD poster, but He's still the best coach we've ever had, and I doubt anyone will ever take a team to four straight Super Bowls again. The greatest NFL regime/team to not win it all.
  20. You know, I thought about this before, we've expected more from Brooks, but he was not even a starter at LSU. I know they're good, maybe great, but have we been fair in our expectations for him? In the wonderfully clear view of hindsight, I guess we shouldn't be surprised that a starting corner from USC (another college football factory & perennial power) beats out backup corner from college? But either way, Robey has been a find.
  21. But, this game will be won by the offensive line, if they can open holes against what has been a porous Steelers d-line, so we can control the clock and stay out of passing situations (when we are passing, Dick LaB. will be blitzing from every direction he can). The Steelers have been run on this season; this is our real advantage, and we need to exploit it.
  22. you had to bring that up, I try so hard to forget it, but it keeps coming back . . .
  23. over all, the Bills free agent signings over the past few years have been above average
  24. And neither did they run any route over 8 yards, they dinked and dunked, and we did not adjust defensively. Get up there and hit somebody before they get off the line, make Smith beat you downfield (which he should have on that one drop). To me, that was a bit frustrating.
