I'm not that impressed with the Texans' Defense as the PR department is: The only good (top-level) offense they have shut down was the Rams in week one, who they held to 14 points--but still lost. [Note, they did stifle the Ravens, but Lamar was out.] They have given up 20 to Tampa Bay (a loss), 27 to Seattle (a loss), 17 (a loss), and 29 to Jacksonville (which they somehow won). That’s an average of 25+ in these four games against these three playoff teams. Their average points allowed against the six playoff teams they have played is 22.5 points per game. Further skewing their D stats, they have had the luxury of playing the Titans twice already, who have scored a grand total of 13 points in those two games. And, they held the Lamar-less Ravens to 10. Yes, they are good. And mainly because of their defense, they have won 5 games. But the Defensive numbers are not as impressive when you look deeper. Take the Over on 22.5 for the Bills' offense.

The virtual measurement does not change the spot. And as said above, there seemed to be several times where the line judge marked it short--and the play in question was one of them. They should have challenged the spot; I think they would have changed it.

The good thing is, they didn't throw the ball at him. Put him out there 100% of the time.

Play at an All-Pro level and be the missing link to our run-stopping defense (run-stopping is the idea, anyway).

A few thoughts: - We lost that game on the first series--not going for it on 4th and 1. The Fish had just had a sh!t show on their first series--looked awful, we bury them early with a conversion there, instead, we punt. - Then again, the fourth & 1 play we did call was a complete disaster. Sometimes Brady is brilliant, and sometimes he calls plays like a 2nd grader playing Madden. - And even with all that, the three turnovers all in scoring position (while the game was still in reach) were what cost us any chance of winning. And all three by our best players. Hang on to the ball there, it's still a game.

Last week, back to Super Bowl favorites, this week, "Blow it up." This board is the poster child for bipolar disorder.

Well, the lesson of the day is that fan arrogance and overconfidence never wear well. "Any given Sunday." "Trap game." etc.

I know he gets maligned on this board, but thank goodness we have Dorain Williams. He may be the most dependable LB we have in terms of playing time. And he hits—it may not always be the right guy—but someone is going to get hit.
