  1. Why 8-8? Why 19th Ranked Defense? The Scheme was flawed, didn't match the personnel Which created a lack of trust in the coaching staff Which led to morale problems Which resulted in poor results … from 4th to 19th Thus there are two issues on the table: Will the lack of any significant off-season moves or changes, change anything? And, if there is not immediate improvement and results with the Defense next season . . . how long do the Pegula's put up with this clown show, stupidity, and embarrassment? Rex, there will be no Mario to blame it on this year. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm predicting Rex is fired by December (and Kim and Terry are usually not quick to pull the trigger on Coaches).
  2. Deep down in their hearts, GM's admired him. He did his job, can never fault a person for that.
  3. Hank Who? Resigning him? I didn't know we had him to begin with.
  4. Agree . . . Defense doesn't have to be hard. A simple straightforward approach doesn't mean it is weak. Sophistication doesn't equal effectiveness. The only time getting cute and out-smarting your opponent is relevant is when you have lesser talent. No one thinks that was the Bills Defensive problem last year. Just weaker talented and lesser Coaching.
  5. Everyone's a GM this time of the year.
  6. he did look good in that last game
  7. Does this guy (Rex) have any sense of a moral compass that influences his decision making? Is it completely missing? He just seems to have no clue when it comes to judging people. Are they only hired because Rex knows them? Or--and this is what I fear the most--are these Rex cronies the only kind of people that will work for him? Of all the people in the world, he has to hire this guy. I guess he is a good match for the kid-beating oline coach.
  8. And he forgot to mention our Defensive sucks, so a move Philly makes all the sense in the world. Heck, one more season with Rex and I might move there.
  9. He was solid last year in relief, good insurance. Would prefer for Henderson to be back, healthy, and better, but Mills is good insurance.
  10. Good, now take your time and get a longterm deal in place
  11. yeah, we can all see that, but can he coach?
  12. All coaches think they can change people (see Rex R in Buffalo). And the Browns new coach, Hue Jackson, will certainly figure this is a new day and opportunity for Gordon. He is going no where. But if he did, I would love to see him in Buffalo.
  13. Well, sound like the the perfectly undisciplined kind of player that Rex likes.
  14. I get first dibs on next year's post.
  15. I hope your wrong, and why no Russell Wilson?
  16. He would be the perefect fit for the Rex side show. Bring him in!
  17. Yes, take him. Almost a mirror image and player as TT. If he did have to play, not sure one thing would need to be changed for the offense.
  18. Are the Bills quickly becoming the laughing stock of the league? People use to just feel sorry for us, now we are really just a Rex Ryan punchline. Can't wait to hear the national talk radio shows day have fun wth this one. Oh, and my answers are: NO! NO! and NO!
  19. And that's the problem, a "complex defensive scheme" that does't work. "Why? Why?" The entire thought process just hurts . . . Can someone please tell the Petula's how buffoonish this looks? Please! I think they really do need a Football Czar.
  20. Lets first of all, assume any major college Head Coach and any NFL coach are high in football acumen. They all know the game. So it really comes down to so many other factors outside the X's and O's. So consider this . . . The process or system of being a Head Coach in the NFL is totally different than in college. In college, you build a program. And, really, the only hinderance is the amount of money and priority a particular school wants to place on it—at Alabama, neither of these are an obstacle. In the NFL, you have to build your team within very prescribed boundaries. Saban is great at the program building, especially in an environment where he has everything one needs to be successful. They give him everything he asks for and more (Say he was at Syracuse, do you think he would be as successful as he is now?). Alabama is the perfect fit for a person like Saban. And to his credit, he knows that. He knows there are very very few other places where he could have success like he is having there. And, most relevant, he knows the NFL is not that kind of place. It is a totally different type of role. There are way more limitations for an NFL Head Coach than there ever will be at a football factory like Alabama. Could he be successful in the NFL? Sure, he knows the game as well as anyone. But is the likelihood as high in the the NFL? No. He's smart enough to know that, and he is in a position where he gets to decide. He is right where he should be.
  21. I think most of the NFL could of have defeated the Texans yesterday. Bengals or Steelers? Probably not.
