  1. Nihilarian, this is a far too reasoned and sensible perspective for TBD. Your points are logical, well stated, and are grounded in actual facts rather than speculations. Please learn, you'll have to start bringing your emotional biases into the process to truly survive here. Anyhow, thanks for some sanity. I'm with you, "who knows?' at this point? The next few weeks are going to bring a lot of craziness to this board. Sit back and enjoy the show. And heaven forbid, if whomever is named the started for week one goes out and throws a clunker, watch how this place lights up! There's a dark side of me that would like to see that just for the amusement it will provide here. But, being a lifelong (50+ years) Bills fan, I just want to see them win, no matter whom is the QB. Oh, what Fun this is.
  2. Franchise QB??? . . . I'll take competent starter. If he can do that, we'll be very happy. you should start a thread about trading EJ for Tannehill, I bet the Fish would go for that.
  3. Chevy, you're trying hard—almost as hard as EJ is—but with plays (statements) like this. you are losing all credibility. Obviously this is based on what you want to happen, not what you saw last evening. Anyhow, nice pre-season efforts, but you're odds of making Game Summary starting line-up when the real bullets fly took a big hit tonight. . . . Bill , warm up the keyboard, you're still the starter here on TBD.
  4. i'm with you on this idea. At this point, what does Cassel do for this team? Get another quick footed QB and build the system around athletic dual-threat type QBs
  5. how about Eli, instead . . . the Giants can keep Nassib
  6. Chandler was never fully appreciated, he would have been a perfect compliment to Clay. Oh well TBD posters, be careful, sometimes you get what you ask for.
  7. A great reminder of the powerful way athletes can be a force for good (i.e., "Role Models"). Thank You Marques! Now stay health and catch the ball when it hits your hands!!!!
  8. Let him go, he is always hurt, don't waste a roster spot on him
  9. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Privacy, Security and Breach Notification Rules http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/index.html Wow, I had to clear this up, I wouldn't have been able to sleep tonight.
  10. can one of our current DT slide out to back up at DE? Charles?
  11. Given the looming suspension of Brady in NE, and the way their Back up played, if EJ is released, he'll be a Patriot in 2 minutes . . . and how ironic it would be to see him starting in the Ralph in game two of the season For the record, I like the kid, he is better than perceived here, and I do not believe he will be cut.
  12. like this one, even the Ravens' fans knew how bad our previous OC was: corkspop says: Dec 8, 2014 12:43 PM Even more speed now at the WR position. When will the Bills find the O-Coordinator that has a clue what to do with it???
  13. Thanks for the thoughts Chevy, but I have a few Objections, or differing views . . . 9) Ronald Darby . . . I sure hope Leodis is back soon, and I hope they had a fire extinguisher in his locker after the game, because he got torched, 6) Tyrod Taylor . . . Tyron brings excitement, but QBs like Taylor become the focal point of the offense, and rarely utilize the skills of the skill players around them. He is not a pocket passer, and this team needs most a pocket passer. If he starts, it will only be a matter of time before Sammy, Percy, R Woods, Clay revolt, because they will be reduced to head-on-a-swival blockers far more than dazzling route runners 5) Karlos Williams , . . yes, he did look good, very good! . . . But so did Bryce Brown, not sure who you were watching on that one, to me, he seemed the most explosive of all our backs last evening 3) Matthew Mulligan . . . I could not follow his blocking, but didn't he have a drop, and 2 penalties. I was not impressed at all from what i saw 2) Enemkpali . . . I watched, didn't seem to add anything more than any other career back-up, he got flattened by a wide receiver 50 lbs smaller than him (lack of awareness, and not just emotionally and socially) . . . I seriously question if he is worth the risk, in my quick impressions I see little reward potential My two cents . . .
  14. Maybe not a bust, but also should not have been a #8 pick overall. Never lived up to it
  15. I feel much better about our options at QB, all three did well and did what they do: Cassel = Manage the game, no chances, no long throws; Taylor = happy feet, ran all over, Mr. Excitement, a few good throws; EJ = Looked like he was playing with the 3rd string, all but the one throw was on target, & the long TD. The bad news, I do not see anything settled, and the battle continues
  16. Thanks for the regular reports Astro, I put way more stock in your information than any of the people who get paid to do it . . . they should be paying you
  17. i have to own this one too, I so wanted him fired two years ago.
  18. Hmmm???? I remember being mocked on this board when I suggested he would be the surprise player of the year on a thread back in the Spring. I'll be over my bitterness soon. And, I will stand by my pick.
