  1. The Ragland situation puts all the spotlight of Rex and Rob and their "great" defensive minds and schemes. If it is half of what they think it is, the Bills will be alright. If its is like last year and the D takes another step backwards, Rex will be exposed as an impostor, or at the least he'll become an afterthought in which the NFL that has caught up to his "great" schemes, and passed him by while he wasn't even looking. Time will tell. As for the 14 ranking, I think that is fair. We're close, with a break or two, and progress from Taylor and improvement on Defense, the Bills can make the play-offs. And to state the obvious, if either one of these digresses, we will be worse this year.
  2. Astro is simply the best Bills beat reporter there is. He should be getting paid by them. His report is always the first, and usually the only, thing a read when I come to TBD. Thank You Sir!
  3. Smells of desperation to me. There is a reason Spikes was not signed; mainly, because he's just not a very good linebacker. He can hit, he just can't move very well. But most discouraging of all, this means Ragland's injury is serious. Ugh!
  4. I think Mills is Mills, an adequate, but not good ROT. Henderson is still the one with much better upside, but with his health issues, I doubt he'll be starting at the beginning of the season. Kujo won't survive August, unless there is a miracle improvement form last year.
  5. one of my all time favorites gotta love Marv "You over-officious jerk" . . . What happens when a Harvard grad becomes NFL coach and verbally berates an official.
  6. I was skewered on this board for questioning the drafting of this guy, my point being: character matters! Oh well, just keep drafting boneheads and just keep getting the same results.
  7. So hard to pick one, but it has to be Super Bowl and playoff games: 1 - The last SB, leading at halftime and thinking, "we're going to do this"; and then all hopes dashed with the Thurmond fumble early in the 3rd quarter. The feeling of hopelessness and the inevitable set in. 2 - Homerun throwback in Tennessee. 3 - Wide Right.
  8. The ability to run is what makes him effective. His running opens up passing possibilities, and of course, gets him big yards. Take that away, or limit it, and he is just an average QB. I say, let him go! He, and the offense, is better when he does it.
  9. Henderson at RT . . . comes back in better shape and eager to prove himself.
  10. Just read the article about Mills and our RT situation . . . why haven't we signed Long yet? Get it done Rex!
  11. this points to the Bills depth here, he would not be a starter here . . . probably 3rd best? Maybe 4 with the addition of Seymour?
  12. Just further proof of the deep level of stupidity that is the head coach of the Buffalo Bills, you could not have your secretary make one phone call, send a text, etc.????
  13. Time to stop on the EJ lost the Jacksonville game, it was one game, and you've seen Mettenberger play how many of the 10 games he's lost?
  14. and the corner back out of USC we just drafted?
  15. Now that is a fresh idea, get Hillary and/or Donald on the phone!
  16. Well, he was worth kicking the tires on. But what this tells me is that Henderson may not be back to full health; that is, if they rely wanted Slauson to play RT ????
  17. I have heard—never seen it, at least not last year—that he is the type of guy Rex likes to get creative with. A guy he can move around and ask him to do multiple things. I hope so, he certainly is the kind of kid you want to see succeed.
  18. well, this tells us nothing, every team made Mario a non-factor
  19. Not sure what that means, but it doesn't sound pleasant.
  20. Just who just became the #1 fan favorite in Buffalo? How can you not want this -kid MAN to be successful?
  21. Certainly no team would ever expect that a player might improve the next year . . . I had some stats and a table to show the ridiculousness of this post, but, well, it was't necessary
