Let's be realistic, the chance of Cousins coming to Buffalo are slim to none. So, who on the list would be attainable and have a big upside? I see two: AJ McCarron and Teddy Bridgewater. Both have shone very good NFL promise. I believe either would be upgrades and potential franchise building QB's--both would be a safer risk than anyone we could draft. Moreover, getting one of them would allow us to keep all the draft picks and build the many other needs this team has.

He had his flaws--or was it the players that had their flaws--but I would certainly say he knew his personnel and developed the right system for the people he had. Dennison, not so much. He tried. It was good to see the rollouts yesterday, but every one of them was the same: Tyrod rolls right, and there is a short option and a deep option--not hard to defend those Rico. Call it age discrimination if you must, but the game has passed him by.

Cousins would be a big help, but I think there are about 10 other teams who want him as well.

All in all, an exciting season. This was an entertaining game and there is promise for next year.

How long has it been? The last playoff game was on a Saturday and that was when we just took it for granted the Bills would be in the playoffs each year. So on that day, I already had plans and didn't even see the game---just the awful historic highlights. Not this time, GO BILLS!!!!!!

After taking a few minutes to translate this post, I think I figured out you are trying to say Alex Smith would be the second coming of Drew Bledsoe. I had not thought of that before. On the surface that seems like a valid assessment, but with this one big exception: Smith is far more mobile than Bledsoe ever was. Bledsoe was a statue as a QB. He couldn't move. I would say the more accurate correlation--if it should happen--would be Bledsoe to Sam Bradford. If he and Bledsoe ran a 100 yard dash race, it would be close, both coming in around 35 seconds--but the truth is, neither would finish because they would both somehow get hurt in that 100 yards.

If they go the Free Agent route, I think Teddy Bridgewater would be a smart choice--he's young, has proven he can play really well at this level, and he adds the extra dynamic of being able to run when needed. If he ends up in Buffalo, that would be a good thing.
