My first hope is a top tier o-lineman, but get the best player available, even if he is a Defensive player. First of all, Scott Norwood was never a goat in Buffalo. Second, the logic you use to elevate the New England comeback win over the Bills comeback applies the field goal attempt, one was a wildcard game, and the other a Super Bowl. If Norwood makes that kick, the entire narrative about that team and that era of the Buffalo Bills is changed.

A top SEC receiver who lights it up in the CFL . . . both good training grounds for the NFL. A huge life-fail, but it appears he has turned his life and career around with professional help. A high reward, low-risk signing. What's not to like? Got to root for him.

Think about it, HE WAS THE OFFENSE! Besides him, every other aspect of the offense could stand a significant upgrade: o-line, WRs, RBs, TE. There is not one other area on the offense that is in the top 20 of the NFL.

One way or another, get him signed and locked in for the next several years. We haven't seen his ceiling yet.

After looking at a few mock drafts (early, I know), I say trade down to the back half of the first round and get two first round picks where it appears there will be quality O-Tackles available and a few wide receivers. Come away with that combo and it is an excellent draft.

Isn't this basically the defense that Rex, the Defensive genius, destroyed? The new Bills regime brought them back to where they should have been. That is good and to their credit. Rex did prove that bad coaching can screw up good talent. The one area that I think the new regime has failed, is at QB. They mishandled it last year and totally blew it this year. The one redeeming thing they have done is drafting Allen, but they didn't set him up to succeed. Allen was put into the line-up prematurely and has miraculously survived the season despite the o-line. They were even fortunate enough to have him get injured, which forced them to deal with the ineptitude of Peterman. They got lucky when Barkley became available, and in the end, they did get two real mentors in here for Allen. But none of that was by design. Nonetheless, yesterday showed they have someone to build around. So, the next two season will be the real judge of this new regime. I for one, hope it goes perfectly, whether, by design or luck, I don't care. Just win!
