  1. He may believe that now, but let's see in March or April. I said it before, I'll say it again, he's done.
  2. I hope does play out like this, then Bradbury is still available, pick him at 9. Ferrell not needed.
  3. From what I saw yesterday, this should be our pick at 9
  4. Not all the draftable o-lineman were in the game yesterday, but from what I saw, if the idea is to get the best player available (in o-linemen), then draft Garrett Bradbury in the first round! He was a wall, drove people backward, he was by far the best O-lineman on the field. I know, "you don't draft centers" with a 9th pick, said by the same people who say "you don't draft guards" that high. Check out what the Colts did last year. Drafting for need would be to take a Tackle, drafting the BPA, would be taking Bradbury, there was no one close to him. Take him, and draft a worthy guard or tackle in the 2nd. The Bills have to build the line! Without it, you're just spinning your wheels. And one other thought, I think every possible Free Agent has been mentioned; understand, almost every team is looking to upgrade their line. The idea the Bills are just going to sign who they want the day it opens is silly. As someone said above, the quality of players you'll find in FA are Bodine-like. Guys like Mills and Miller will be signed by someone, and probably for pretty decent pay increases. Going the FA route is simply shuffling the chairs on the deck of the Titanic. Build the line through the draft!!!!!! And start with Bradbury!!!!
  5. Draft everyone of the o-lineman!!!!
  6. I know this is not politically correct, but I'm more and more getting away from drafting the BPA, and moving to drafting the BOLA "Best Offensive Lineman Available" for about 5 rounds. Now that we have our QB, nothing else matters on offense until there is serious improvement there.
  7. Well, they'll probably pick one this year.
  8. Tyree Jackson = 6-foot-7, 245-pound ... our next TE?
  9. Actually, I really don't care. I just enjoy watching the games and not worrying about who is winning or losing (unlike when I'm watching the BIlls). I just want an entertaining game, and yesterday was. Hoping for the same in the SB. And, as much as it hurts, I was the only person to pick the Pats in our office playoff pool. I'm looking pretty smart right now.
  10. Not really, the bad calls, and no-calls, were about even
  11. first win of the season
  12. Kind of how people hated the Bills back in the 90s, no one but Buffalo fans wanted them back in the SB after the 2nd one. And, hate is such a destructive emotion. Let it go, start an exercise routine, join a club, see a therapist if you need--I suspect this Patriots hate is simply a symptom of deeper emotional problems.
  13. I'm way past hating them. I do root against them, but their level of football excellence is phenomenal. Spy gate and deflate gate were good fodder for all the conspiracy theorist, but how about we just admit they are better than everyone else. Period!
  14. Na. Pats win, and Brady and Gronk retire ....going out on top. I hope they do if it means an end to their dynasty. Why would they want to come back? Nothing more to prove, clearly the greatest team run of all time, and it will never be duplicated.
  15. Really hoping the Pats win it all, because if they do, I’m confident Brady will retire. GO PATRIOTS!!! ?
  16. You don't get it, Bummer . . . Make it easy on yourself and go be a Chief fan for the next few years. I'm sure you'll love Andy Reid. But, my answer is pretty much just as thoughtless, "any game Rex Ryan coached." And it really got ridiculous when he brought his brother in the second season to fix the top 3 defense Rex had inherited. What is worse than 1 Ryan coaching your defense, 2 Ryan's coaching it. Just awful!!!
  17. Lot's of o-lineman on the list, GOOD!
  18. yuuup Not sure Jackson is the right fit for our WR needs, but if the new guy from Canda is the real deal, the Jackson and he could really spice up the WR core. As there does not seem to be any real game changers in the draft or free agency, I think I'd like it.
  19. Rams . . . they outscore Saints in a shootout, both in the 35-45 range Chiefs . . . Offense proves to be too much for Pats to contain, they score in the 30s and win by 10
  20. Round 1 Pick 9: Oliver, Ed, DT, Houston Round 2 Pick 10: Risner, Dalton, C/OT, Kansas State Round 3 Pick 10: Snell Jr, Benny, RB, Kentucky Round 4 Pick 10: Sills V, David, WR, West Virginia If we didn't get an OT in the first round, I would be very happy with Risner in the 2nd--I don't think he will last that long. Oliver is talented, but there is just something about him that makes me nervous. Snell & Sills would be quality skill players, and would be good depth, but not sure either is the answer at their respective positions.
  21. Excellent thread, I read every post. My 2 cents: I think the Bills are committed to building a "young" line that can grow around Allen and feel they have starter quality people in Ike Boettinger and Conor McDermott. They trusted them enough to carry 10 o-lineman during the season. I'm assuming because they did not want to lose either from practice-squad grabs by other teams. Think about it, if Dawkins and Teller continue to develop, that is a young nucleus to keep around for many years. But I know those are big assumptions for all four---each has had bright spots, but none are a sure thing at this point. Are the issues here is coaching? Were they held back or slowed by Cas.? It may be a question of how much they trust in the new guy's ability? Having said that, two other thoughts: 1) Definitely, seek to add a starter on Day 1 of the draft. It appears there are 3-4 Tackles that could do that. But it also appears none are worthy of #9 pick (Williams, maybe?). If a trade down allows us to get an extra pick and a starting o-lineman, do it. If you believe in one of them enough to pick at 9, do it. I think this fits with the theme above (youth, that will be around for many years). In this scenario, the one glaring need is a true center. Is that Boettinger? Or, keep Bodine and look next year? Or, sign a quality FA? Ideally, quality FA, Day 1 pick, and keep and build with the young guys (Draftie, DD, WT, IK, CMcD) 2) It is offend said Mills is a top run blocker, but not good in pass protection. Has he ever played guard? Yes, guards have to pass protect, but I don't believe they have to be as athletic as a Tackle. Doesn't moving him to guard play to his strength as a run blocker? The objection here is, if he could do that, he would be there already. And, it works against the youth theme above. At his age, would he fit the plan to build a line that can grow around Allen?
  22. I guess this was an attempt at humor? Concerning Glenn, Yes! He is an above average LT. The only issue with him is staying on the field. If healthy and at a good cost, certainly.
  23. A good hire, let's move on, I find threads about newly hired Assistant Coaches rather pedantic. What we really need is another thread about Josh Allen's accuracy. Who will start it?
