  1. I suppose none of this is a surprise to Beane and McDermott. I don't think they woke up after the draft, read the reviews, and went, "Damn, why didn't someone tell us this?" I am trusting their far more experienced perspective--more than even these "paid-to-write-critical-things" reporters--than our limited view. Yes, there is a rick, Cleveland is getting hammered the same way in the national media for picking Mayfield. If Rosen was that good, why did he fall to 10? And Darnold's interception problem will only get accentuated in the NFL. All had their flaws, and all have their strengths. What was so unique about this draft was the options. If it had only been one of them, that one would have been the number one pick. So, as it is, the people who are getting paid to do this in Buffalo have done pretty well over the past year. I'll go with their far more educated perspective than mine, or that of any hack trying to make a name for himself selling sports columns.
  2. Where's Dunkirk Don when we need him? Even if there was any truth to this, I do not think it would be in the Bills best interest. He is not who he was as a player, he has cancerous tendencies both on and off the field, in general, I don't think he fits the type of player that the Bills need or want. . . . It looks and smells (movie theater popcorn-ish) much like when Terrell Owens came to Buffalo--and how'd that work out?
  3. The Bills defense was good last year, but not great. They were vulnerable to a good running game but generally did well against the pass. I think every addition has been an upgrade, so the expectation that this defense is going to be better is fair. How quickly the new guys develop and how quickly they gel will be key. If that happens, it could be a great defense.
  4. Ouch! But it is the very reason I never wanted Rosen, I think he is one good hit from being done with his football career.
  5. Ah, I think we all need to remember that last year was his rookie year. He did well, and he will get better. Both Hughes and Murphy are getting up there in years, I don't expect Shaq is going anywhere.
  6. Excellent points, especially about the house on the beach ....why would he want to move to Buffalo?
  7. we could have had a discus thrower and a rugby guy, that would have been fun
  8. Penn State fan here: Davis will be nothing but a ball boy for camp. Good kid, but not an NFL kicker.
  9. just stop, its only 2 days and it is old already
  10. Ah, I think we could still use some help here. Get a couple of speed guys and hope one works out.
  11. Fascinating! Allen comes across well, seems like he knows what he is doing. And I think I'm even more impressed with Cousins--being a teacher and mentor. That is high character on display. Good stuff, thanks BBF.
  12. The only guy in Buffalo getting beat up more than Josh Allen is Rebel101 .... but then again, both have accuracy issues. Rebel, you give Josh a chance, we'll give you a second chance to make a good first impression
  13. Well said Shaw66, thanks for the great contribution and intelligent perspective of these two picks. Let's hope both workout as planned.
