  1. To the thread title: Probably not. I cannot remember any. I rearranged my schedule today to see it .... for a PRESEASON game!
  2. No, I don't drink. Logical thought. To my Orginal thought, maybe you missed the obvious: If I could get an all-world game-changing defensive player who will help this franchise for several years down the road, and give up an off the field liability-waiting-to-happen player who's best years are behind him, in a heartbeat!
  3. Knowing Gruden, I bet he'd take a top draft pick, one of our backup QBs (Peterman or McCarron), and throw in McCoy? I love Shady as a football player, but I would make that trade if it was offered.
  4. it will be interesting to see what they do at QB. Like was said, can't see them risking any of the three. Logan Thomas has bee suggested, but he is a battle to keep his TE job, can't imagine he or his positions coaches want to waste time tinkering at QB. I think a temp hire is on the cards.
  5. I go with the winning, you know "its hard to win in the NFL."
  6. I guess I missed it. Looked and sounds like most of these. What is the reaction about?
  7. Well, you see how devastating that has been to Russel Wilson and Carson Wentz ..... playing in their rookie seasons almost ruined their careers. How much better they would be if they had only carried a clipboard around their first year.
  8. Wasn't Wesley given time with the guards early in camp? Might be time to look at that again--at least left side, Miller has played well.
  9. These are Nate Peterman's stats in the 30 minutes (two quarters) of playing time he had last year: 24/49 = 49% completion rate 252 yards, for an average of 5.1 per attempt TD to Interception Ratio: 2/5 Overall QB Rating: 38.4 And people want to make a serious argument he should start?
  10. Yeah, neither line looked too well last night. The run D looked eerily familiar to last season. I will give it a pass now, but something to keep a close eye on.
  11. On talent, there is no doubt who the best Bills QB is: it is clearly Josh Allen. He has that IT! factor. It's must-see TV when he is on the field. Peterman has looked good -- very good -- in the preseason. But there is no doubt who is more dynamic and who has more upside between him and Allen. So now with McCarron is out of the picture, all things considered, I would roll the dice with Allen. Also, consider this, as far as game experience, Peterman has exactly two NFL starts, and both of those were about a quarter. He has one half of a game more playing time than Josh Allen. Yes, he has a head start on practice and study time, but at the end of the day, it is a meritocracy and the better player needs to be on the field. Start Josh Allen now!
  12. Today was proof that the 3rd string o-line sucks--most of the time he was running for his life, put him with NFL players and see what he can do.
  13. Yeah, not sure why he was listed as "hurt." I think it was just the opposite, he can catch and run--we know that. What he needs to improve in is blocking, and it appears he did that last evening. That's like the baseball player who has a great swing, but he just can't hit the ball.
  14. Agree with all. Let's see if these are trends in the next few games.
  15. for the 31st time in this thread, it was NOT Reilly that dropped that ball! It was Phroel.
