  1. Excellent cultural reference!
  2. good question ?????
  3. Excellent read Thurman, thanks. As I'm processing it, the way he weaves leadership development and trust into the analysis is interesting. He grounds that in character development. I think his point is, the best young leaders earn trust by learning to make good decisions. But a team has to be willing to let them learn those lessons. We can question Josh Allen's football skills, he is still learning and growing in that. And as for decions making development, much of the script is given to him. But we have also seen him when things go off script. In those moments, he has made some incredible plays, and of course, some really big head scratchers. But I think the point is this; good QB--and leadership--development gives room for the decision making, and mistakes of youthful enthusiasm. That is where real growth will occur. I am convinced that in Josh Allen the Bills have the most valuable of attributes a QB needs, a leader his teammates trust. Will he make mistakes, yes, but he is learning and the growth is evident for all to see. And as long as that trajectory continues up, the skills (physical abilities) and mental side (character and trustworthiness) will eventually get to the same place. And in that, you have the combination that makes for a dynamic player and leader. I truly believe the Bills are in good shape at this position for many years ahead.
  4. It was concerning this week, but not time to panic. He will be watched closely, and, yes, I'm sure other teams will try to physically miss-match him. If there is continued success (for the opposition), then time to rethink the line-up. NFL players cannot get overpowered on a regular basis, that is a ticket to the unemployment line. Stay tuned.
  5. Robert Foster is the WR help the Bills need. Not sure there is anyone else out their worth the draft capital, or with as much potential as him?
  6. get a sense of humor
  7. This just made me laugh. Le'Veon with a bit of reality therapy. I'm sure it made him feel better. Reminds me of the Bob Newhart counseling method, "two simple words, STOP IT!"
  8. The only criticism here is, "why didn't he keep doing it?" He should have done everyone a favor and keep taking the penalties and time. I turned this game on early in the 1st quarter, and I was done with it before the end of the 1st quarter.
  9. Good work RocCityRoller (is that, as in Rock City near Olean?).
  10. And don't the Patriots play pretty much the same schedule?
  11. We are duplicating the season of the Jacksonville Jaguars two years ago, ride your D as long as you can. If the offense contributes, its a bonus.
  12. I missed the game and just read the comments above; I can't believe it, how mush did we lose by? Lofton said it on the broadcast, "the Bills fans are getting greedy." . . . as in, you know how we are so used to winning all the time. Three things that most bothered me: 1) Yes, like all of you, I was quite frustrated with the first half. As Virgil said in point one, the play-calling was questionable. That 3rd and 1 play-action slant, come on! 2) But what was most frustrating was the Defense--all day long. The two play sequence of the Phillips sack (I don't think he knew the ball was out) and Tre's interception changed the game. Without them, we lose. 3) Penalties, we seem to kill ourselves with them. Time to get that cleaned up. But then again, this has been there since traning camp--remember the articles about running a lap??? Okay, no more greediness, back to perspective: I'll take 5-1 at this point of the season. "Just win baby!"
  13. I do wish they would blitz more, and be more creative when they do.
  14. Just win! But, yes, I would love to see him get 300+ yards and a bunch of TDs, but with NO TURNOVERS!!!
  15. 28,00 Tweets, 810 Followers -- tells you all you need to know about Grant What's-His-Name
  16. Last week it was the Texans. Time for the Bill Parcells' quote: “You are what your record says you are.” Thus, the 2nd best team in the AFC => the Buffalo Bills (5-1)
  17. you are in a miserable mood, go do some volunteer work, put that energy towards something good
  18. Tre White Stephen Hauschka Josh Allen (he was 1-5 on the first drive, and then 15-21 the rest of the game, and had some nice hard-nosed runs) Honor Mention: FitzMagic ... he showed today why he was so liked in Buffalo, such a gamer
  19. that will happen with young teams but a win is a win, I’ll take it
  20. This Defense is scaring me.
  21. 80 yard drive time!
