  1. Serious question, what are his rating these days? I use to listen to him when he was on ESPN radio. And that TV show he had was fun with the gal that is a huge Spurs fan—she carried it. But it has been a long time. There may be a good number of people that like him still, but he got tiresome for me and I would not even know where to find him now. As for the question, yeah, I think McDermott is in the top 10.
  2. I think he needs to put on some bulk so he can be stronger in the more physical parts of the game. To me, that is the part of his play that needs to improve to make him an elite LB. The athleticism and game-smarts are there, just needs more power.
  3. so you pronounce it "juan" Brown?
  4. He may have potential, but he has done nothing to justify making a big splash to get him. Maybe, trade for Kroft (would they like Lee Smith? ?)? Or, Kroft and a late draft pick where we have an extra one? Or a 5th rounder? Also, in making this trade, the Bills have to consider how much time he would take away from Knox's development. If you're not sold on Knox, then consider it. If you are all in on him, then no need to trade for anyone unless his name is Kelce or Kittle or Ertz.
  5. A no brianer! We can only hope it becomes a permanent reality.
  6. Totally agree. I was going to add the play-calling aspect to my first post, but for length, I did not. Yes, a huge part of an effective short game is good play design and play-calling. Daboll can certainly help his QB by better work in this area.
  7. The article was interesting, and informative in a lot of ways. But to this point, is the take-away for how to improve accuracy this = Shorter passes? More passes of 10 or less yards incorporated into the offense? . . . The quickest way to improve accuracy, call more dink-and-dunk plays. Brady has lived on that for years in NE. With SIngletary (and maybe Moss), and hopefully the development of Knox, I think the Bills have room to really improve in this aspect of their offense. And, wouldn't more success here open up opportunities in the deeper game? . . . Go short Josh, you win on many levels.
  8. I think Gruden and the Raiders would be a good fit for him . . . Oh, wait. Okay, NE, Belichick can make anyone submit . . . Oh, wait.
  9. Winston signed several weeks ago with the NO Saints. And no debate: Cam > Winston
  10. The surprise is Cam could only get a minimum deal. Come on, he’s better than half the starters in the league, let alone the well paid clipboard holders. .... Did he take a knee or something?
  11. No surprise. He’s better than that War Eagle guy, but Bills are still team to beat in AFC East.
  12. Is there a moral issue here?
  13. Hey, she owns the teams, puts up a few million dollars to make it work, I would say she can do whatever she wants.
  14. Who's the QB? Those passed are delivered before the cut and right on his hands. Sign him today BB!
  15. Hard to disagree with any. As someone said, there are enough others to make a second 10.
  16. Ranch is better than Blue Cheese for wings.
  17. With his age, he'd be in the high-risk category. The end of his career ??????
  18. The schedule issue has been brought up several times, but do remember, all the AFC East teams play pretty similar opponents. NE has rated the highest, and Jets and Fins strength of scheduled is above the Bills (it would be better to remove the division games, but even in that, they are still close to each other). So when deciding who wins the division, this element is a factor, but not a huge differentiator when compared to each other. And if that is the case, then go back to the quality of players. . . . Yes, I will concede, it could happen, but the logic (or, non-logic) used to predict it is where the stupidity factor enters his equation. Rank Team Opponents' 2019 win percentage 1 New England Patriots .537 (137-118-1) 2 New York Jets .533 (136-119-1) 3 Miami Dolphins .529 (135-120-1) 4 San Francisco 49ers .527 (134-120-2) T5 Buffalo Bills .525 (134-121-1)
  19. https://nypost.com/2020/06/16/buffalo-bills-outlook-josh-allen-co-have-big-expectations/ A pretty fair analysis up to the point where he drops this bomb at the end--with no real explanation: "The key to the Bills season is how they handle raised expectations. The Bills are now viewed as the favorites in the AFC East with Tom Brady gone. I’m not sure how they will handle that. I think they could stumble and have a tough season. Too-early prediction Last place in AFC East." I don't swear, but this challenged my conviction.
  20. I picked DeMarco for the offence--I think the un-drafted FA from Toledo will take his place, but I also do not see how Duke makes it with draft kids, and I think we've seen the last of Lee Smith as a Bill. On D, I just a have a feeling that Norman is washed up. He certainly has done little the past few years, not sure a change of scenery helps him I hope you're right, but I don't have the same level of confidence you do about it.
  21. And a classic Seinfeld episode, better, much better, than the movie.
  22. Well, as I tell my students all the time that all grading is a subjective process, so be nice to me. And I do give F's. So, I give this assessment an A+ . . . why? Because I like rookie's explanations. Good work berg.
  23. On this, I have said it several times before and agree with Simms. “Tua is a creation of Alabama. You don’t think Jarrett Stidham, or like Justin Herbert, would have set the world on fire if they got to play with four first-round receivers and two first-round tackles?” => TRUTH Time will tell on who is the better NFL QB. And, debating a 35th versus 40th ranked person? The bigger picture of what he is saying is that neither is very good right now.
  24. There are much better ways to help people remember this reprehensible act. It’s inappropriate and I’m surprised the MODS have let it remain. Time to show leadership folks, you’ve remove others for much less offensive things.
