I know this probably won't happen, but would love to see Bates (yes, I've been the Chair of his fan club since last season) as a starter at the Guard position even if Ford does return on Sunday. Winters is a liability. Bates would be an upgrade. Why don't the coaches see that like I do from my living room couch????

I would go with "Beasley," he is the safety valve and seems to be open on every pass play, and he makes catches others wouldn't. I think we tend to take him for granted. But, I would agree that Williams has been a great find at RT, hard to argue against him as the "secret" MVP. While I think Zimmer and Bass are coming along, and both have had their moments (good and no so much), I need to see more consistency over time to put them in this discussion.

Okay, today's the big day! DID BEANE MAKE A TRADE YET ???? One thing this crazy year has brought, there seems to be far more in-season player movement (trades) than I remember from other seasons. Or am I just losing my memory?

It's one thing for us fans to miss on someone this good, but it is truly amazing (and shows how much of a crap-shoot it really is) that high-paid NFL scouts, coaches, and executives, missed this badly.

Well, he's smart enough to play five positions on the o-line. So, yes, I do think he's capable of doing that.

This, I totally agree. As many pointed out in the game threads, why did they switch when it seemed to go so well when Bates came in? When he was in there the Bills move quickly down the field and he got the key block on the first touchdown run by Moss. Even the broadcasters were questioning the change. I hope McD was asked about it in the post game presser. Also, great job as always, Virgil. Thank You.

Great observation! I agree, this is a big help for the running backs. And, of course, having Feliciano back sure helps bring an attitude, which is huge for running the ball.
