  1. Do you think that owners care about the criticism they receive, no matter the market? Really? Yet here you are, posting on a Buffalo Bills message board.
  2. LMMFAO! "He would have been run out of town?" Care to name any examples of this ever happening? I know that many owners have "run out of town" with their (not the city's, as some people are deluded to believe) team. But who's the bigger fool? Ralph, or you who criticize him, yet continue to watch the team like lemmings?
  3. Actually I could understand busting on him. The way you guys were making it sound though was that he regularly skips pre-season games. And on one hand, part of me says that I'd rather he saved himself for the real season. The other part says he needs as much time with Trent as possible.
  4. Not sure what you gents are talking about, but Owens routinely plays with the starters in pre-season. The hammy thing was the first pre-season with Parcells, who was trying to send a message to Owens, who Parcells thought was dogging it. And Owens said he wants to play in Thursday's game, but Jauron said probably not. That tells me that he was truly injured.
  5. The Steelers scored 10 points, starters versus starters. This despite ZERO help from the offense, and with no Schobel. I wouldn't call that "getting shoved around," especially since the Steelers are the defending SB champs and they were playing in their house. ST's will be fine once the season starts, as they have been for the past 5 years. On offense however, you could say they were shoved around. Mostly because the ST's kept putting them in a hole (average drive start was just short of the 16 yard line). Not having TO also made the Bills revert back to the offense they've had for the past 3 years. As for picking a fight, that's just dumb. I can sort of understand being pissed over hearing players laughing in the lockerroom, but getting into a fight, no way.
  6. Really? They doubled him all game long, he makes plays until the end of that viewing sequence (tackle at LOS), and PGH "figured out how to smack him down?"
  7. Yep, looks like someone was rejected by all of the Ivies. Even the "lesser" ones. As for the link, yes the op/ed is a great source for the truth. Because we all know how dumb those Harvard grads are.
  8. As I've said elsewhere, this is the first year where Ellison got starter's reps all throughout the off-season and pre-season. Before he was the backup and was pressed-into starting duty due to injury. I'd still like to see Harris take the job eventually.
  9. You mentioned Josh McDaniels, who is an offensive coach (apparently in more ways than one). The Broncos' problems are on defense and adding McDaniels doesn't change that fact.
  10. He can ask Maybin where to go. Maybe get an 87 on one side and an 88 on the other.
  11. That's the one I meant. The original Halloween (John Carpenter) was great.
  12. Yeah but the same applies to JP.
  13. That he did. On the road. And without Cutler's impressive supporting cast.
  14. Whoop-de-freaking'-do! They have Josh McDaniels, who royally fricked-up his QB situation, leading to the trade of the guy you're touting. And Brandon Marshall is looking like a no-show. But what does any of that have to do with their defense? Huh?
  15. Trent looked good against the Broncos' defense last year. If that tells you anything.
  16. The Eagles will be lucky to finish outside of the NFC East basement this year. The loss of Jim Johnson is huge, as is their starting MLB Stewart Bradley. Add-in that Westbrook has yet to suit-up and their O-line isn't set yet, and it could be a long year for them. But hey, that's why they play the games.
  17. We'll see how Cutler does without Shanahan, Marshall, Royal, Scheffler, that O-line, and that running game. He'll be lucky to approach his 2007 season stats.
  18. It's the backup QB syndrome, coupled with that first-ever TD drive, and a sprinkling of him being a 3rd round pick that Bill Walsh talked-up. He showed promise at the beginning of last season, but I think the concussion killed his confidence (and potentially his career), much like a batter who takes a beanball to the head and can't stand in the batter's box any more.
  19. And if the Bills let Schobel or Evans go, what would you be saying then? And we'll see just how much of a slug Peters becomes, now that he's gotten his payday.
  20. Was Halloween 1 any good?
  21. JP got sacked 47 times in 2006. Big Ben got sacked 46 times last year (and 47 in 2007). The TD thing is interesting, if not sad. Basically, Trent has been living off the fumes of his first-ever series, against the Patriots, which resulted in a TD. Since then, it's been a whole lot of nothing. This IS his last chance to be a starting QB.
  22. I wish I came from a family with money to burn. I didn't. But they were always there for me and I'll miss them terribly when they're gone. Because while the inheritance I do get may seem great, it won't necessarily make things better.
