  1. Maurice Jones Drew just released his first (and, hopefully, last) 2021 mock draft. He really is not a good analyst. He has the Bills taking UNC RB Javonte Williams at #30 with OT Teven Jenkins (31) and LB Zaven Collins (32) going immediately after. In no world, other than his own myopic one, does that ever happen. https://www.nfl.com/news/maurice-jones-drew-2021-nfl-mock-draft-1-0-three-rbs-picked-in-round-1
  2. How about a compromise? 'Pole Smoker'
  3. Not Bette although she has been known to sing. Don't know if this person has ever been to Milan or Minsk...
  4. Yes, among other things. Probably not what comes to mind first for most.
  5. Yeah, he's not signing a one year 'prove it' type of deal with anybody. He'll end up with a multi-year money deal from somebody who has the cap space. A team like the Jest maybe.
  6. That shot missed the target entirely. Adjust your scope and try again. 'A' for creativity though. Not in the news/reporter arena.
  7. Hap, are you intentionally trying to raise Sherlock's blood pressure?
  8. Not a nonalcoholic mixed drink... 😉
  9. Wow, that was a total shot in the dark based on your clues and something about the facial expression/shape of the lips. 😄
  10. Ozzy Osbourne?
  11. My guess is that, with a tight cap and limited resources this season, they wanted to keep him one more year only if they could get him to agree to a better deal for the team. He did. They save a lot by releasing him next year so I wouldn't sweat this too much. It's very likely that this is his last year in Buffalo and an upgrade will come next season with much better cap flexibility,
  12. Now you've done it, GB. Sending up the Bat signal for @Sherlock Holmes ...and "gets downed".
  13. I don't think he's washed up, far from it. But depending on what he'd cost in terms of both draft capital and salary, that would determine whether or not I'd want him on the Bills. They have a lot of internal decisions to make on many of their own guys. And I'm probably in the minority, but I haven't given up on Knox yet. He is still new to the position and his athletic profile is off the charts. While I've been frustrated with his inconsistent hands, I think he still can improve and grow into the position. Again, I would be happy to get Ertz, if the price is right. I would just prefer to take my chances if he is released but that's just me.
  14. We'll see what happens. If there truly are eight teams interested in him, then he'll likely get dealt.
  15. I get where you guys are coming from but I was hypothesizing in general for anyone interested in him, not just the Bills. You trade for him if you think you absolutely have to have him and don't want to take the chance on him choosing someone else on the open market. Otherwise, hold onto the asset. Philly will not be playing hardball. They are backed into a corner.
  16. I considered that but it's the only reason that I would give up an asset for him. I doubt a bidding war is going above his current $8M and if you're paying that on the open market, you're likely getting longer term (maybe a team option) and retaining draft capital. It all depends on how desperate you are to have him.
  17. Any of these 'interested' teams should just wait out the Iggles. They are so far over the cap that they can't dictate terms. They are going to have to release him, if they can't trade him.
  18. No team would have deserved it less. DIrty carpetbaggers.
  19. This would be the bigger issue for me. Nobody will be running on 4th and 15. What happens when a ticky-tack PI call is made within a couple of yards of the line of scrimmage? The offense gets an automatic first down which eliminates the intent of a difficult conversion. Stupid rule proposed by a stupid organization.
  20. If so, he should apparently sign with Arizona... 😇
  21. Sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't end up making.
  22. He's made his choice. Good for him. Next...
