  1. At least they're playing their starters so your hit is pure.
  2. I love that Honolulu blue.
  3. The Lions strike Swiftly...
  4. Did you try taking a pee afterwards without washing your hands first, tough guy?
  5. Sandusky: "It's called 'The Mansier'." Woodson: "It's called 'The Bro'." Sandusky: "MANSIER!!..." Woodson: "BRO!!..."
  6. I posted after midnight. You're lucky you got anything resembling coherent. Ingrate... (j/k) 😇
  7. Has he forgotten about the Dodgers? They are 32-5 since June 29th and the Mets are still a shade behind them, IMO. The Met pitchers match up well against Atlanta because the Braves' hitters are prone to the slider and strikeout a lot. The Dodger hitters know how to work a good pitching staff and are a tougher out. A month ago pundits and annoying Yankee fans were extolling the virtues of an "historic season". Now that NY American has cooled off a bit the Mets are suddenly "the the team to beat across MLB"? Not buying it. The Mets are white hot right now and playing as well as anyone but there is still a lot of baseball to be played. As lifelong Met fans, we know better than to take anything for granted. I feel really good about this team and am cautiously optimistic but I am still worried about anyone in the bullpen not named Edwin Diaz and the catching position is still a season-long black hole. I hope that Peterson can eventually help out as a lefty out of the pen but right now, they're keeping him at Syracuse to keep him stretched out. I'm also hoping that Megill can be added to the pen with his live arm after he gets healthy. Much like the AFC for the Bills, the NL will be a gauntlet for the Mets. If they make it to the WS, they will have truly accomplished something. The AL is more or less the Astros and Yanks and that's it. Because of their easier path, the Yanks are a better bet to make the WS than the Mets, IMO. I hope it doesn't play out that way, obviously. Let's soak it all in and enjoy the ride for as long as possible because this team is a lot of fun. #LFGM Honestly, they were all before my time and the only one I know by name at first glance is Jay Hook. The only reason I know his name is because I remember Met announcers saying over the years and also reading that Hook was the pitcher who recorded the first Met victory in franchise history after 9 straight losses in 1962. I agree that it's awesome that Cohen is bringing back some of the original Mets before it's too late. This franchise has ignored it's history for far too long and it's high time that they finally embraced it.
  8. He wants a Bills plate, not your vanity plate.
  9. McKenzie is the #3 WR on this team at best. Diontae Johnson is the #1 in Pittsburgh. Apples to oranges.
  10. DEEZ NUTS (with a Bills license plate frame)
  11. Yeah, I can't remember if Mel himself said it or if I heard it on a radio show/podcast or read it somewhere but I do remember someone pointing out that Baker Mayfield had taken something like 10,000 more reps than Josh prior to their pro careers. Mayfield was afforded far greater opportunity to hone his muscle memory and refine his game for the NFL. Josh was a giant piece of valuable clay waiting to be molded into a work of art.
  12. I was wondering when someone would chime in with a reference to the Kim Pegula thread. Nicely played.
  13. I think a lot depends on whether or not the kicking nets at the stadium are still single and available...
  14. Another great memory from 1983. The Bills' first victory at the Orange Bowl in Miami since 1966. A 38-35 OT thriller, Ferguson vs Marino (Marino's 1st NFL game as a starter). I was in college and working at a retail store and kept sneaking away to call my younger brother who was home watching it on local TV. It was rare for us to get a Bills game in Richmond back then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvvPtthImGk
  15. Now, all of the players seem to toss the ball into the crowd after the third out is made each inning. I see Brandon Nimmo do it several times during a Mets game.
  16. "Simmons will wear No. 61." FTFY, buffalobills.com: "Simmons will wear No. 61...until he's cut." https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-sign-offensive-lineman-jordan-simmons
  17. "I'll teach you to not cheat on me, you SOB!"
  18. No, it was Fergy. They changed to the red helmets starting with the 1984 season. Kelly did not sign with the Bills until 1986. "1984: The Bills announced that they would switch from white helmets to red ones. While the color changed, the charging blue Buffalo remained the same. Supposedly, the color change was meant to help quarterback Joe Ferguson distinguish his receivers from the defensive backs of the Patriots, Dolphins, and Colts, teams that all wore white helmets." https://www.buffalobills.com/news/a-look-back-at-bills-uniform-changes-16272466
  19. Yeah, some of these teams are just trying too hard and whiffing. I hope the Bills don't do anything asinine.
  20. My older son just graduated from Virginia Tech. I think they were ranked #3 when he got there and were consistently ranked in the top 3. I see from your link that they are #2 for 2022. I can vouch that there were a lot of options and the food was legit very good.
  21. Tried to get four for that session until the website 'Rosened' and shut me out. Heading to Jamestown next week to visit relatives and was hoping to get to SJF on 8/1. Oh, well...
  22. They can't. The red is an alternate jersey used for the 'color rush' games and the league has told them that if they wear it, it has to be as part of the all red, monochrome 'color rush' uni only.
  23. Your avatar would suggest otherwise. If they ever went to something like that, I might hunt you down and beat you with a bag of nickels. Can they please steal John Murphy? Please?? 🙏 😇
