  1. Great news...congrats! God bless Johnny and your entire family.
  2. It was actually 1974-1983, but who's counting? (BTW, I loved those unis, too!) I also love these throwbacks...can't wait to see them in action!!! They will bring back some very fond childhood memories and I'll definitely have the TiVO fired up. My very first time watching the Bills as a little kid were when they were wearing these unis!
  3. Thurman used to be seen out regularly on Chippewa until the wee hours of the morning on Saturday nights...in season. It never seemed to affect his game day performance...although he did become an alcoholic.
  4. Ditto. Also, Caughlin's in Fredonia. BTW, I still have a Callahan's glass from the mid '80s that I "borrowed"...took it on a ladies night...was with my girlfriend at the time who got hers honestly (the gals got to keep theirs). I saw QB Vince Feragamo, RB Greg Bell and some other Bills' scrubs from the gawd awful '85 squad at Mickey Rat's one time.
  5. But...what the fug does losing four straight Super Bowls have to do with being loyal??? So, since they lost four straight we should somehow give up on them and cheer for another team? It was a nice blurb until that last sentence...pretty dumb and certainly irrelevant. What about all of the teams who have never made it to the SB...should it be amazing that their fans are loyal, too?
  6. Yeah, Clayton...God forbid the Bills should address the OL in rounds 4-7. Afterall, we all know that the draft is devoid of any meaningful talent after rounds 1-3. Sounds like 'The Lightbulb' has burned out.
  7. Agreed. TH has no leverage whatsoever. Who cares if he's not traded...he's a valuable insurance policy in case WM goes down. Don't believe for a minute that he'll holdout in a contract year...that would be career suicide and would cost him major $ which he'll never recoup. He came crawling back to the Bills last year with his hand out because he squandered what little money he had. He can't afford to holdout...he's broke. If the genius had managed his affairs correctly, he'd be an UFA right now.
  8. I'm sure Shanahan can get something out of him in Denver's scheme. My grandmother could gain 1,000 yards in that offense and she's dead (God rest her soul).
  9. I agree on the blocking. The O-line has been neglected for far too many years now. I was floored when the Bills selected Parrish...I didn't think it filled a pressing need until I stepped back and thought about it. The bottom line is that I trust Tom & Tom and McNally, who started to make chicken salad out of his chicken $hi_ linemen by the end of last year. I was really hoping that Khalif Barnes would fall to the Bills at 55 and was pi$$ed when he was taken at 52. So close and yet so far.
  10. Oh, quit being so rational...are you trying to make yourself a target?
  11. Exactly. In a word, it gives Mularkey's offense versatility. He likes to incorporate gadget plays and get the TEs involved, as well. Every team in the league assumes that the Bills will be a running team...having as many options as possible at your disposal keeps your opponents off-balance.
  12. And how long have you been a GM in the NFL?????! You're actually counting TD's first year when this team was in cap hell and had to be gutted?? He's cleaned up the cap mess and this team came within an eyelash of making the playoffs last year. Pieces have been steadily added and a solid foundation built. Get a fuggin' grip already.
  13. Nice, well-thought-out, level-headed post.
  14. So Irvin would be the only other option????? How about someone...ANYONE who can speak intelligently.
  15. Come on guys...isn't it obvious? Takeo is doing his pre-game stretches and the wide-eyed rookie, Brown, has come over begging TKO not to kill him during the game!
  16. Much like they NFL, they're striving for parity...or is that mediocrity?
  17. Miller is who I want the Bills to grab too, but he won't make it past the Stillers at #30.
  18. Well, Michael Jackson did rob him blind with the rights to all those Beatles songs.
  19. I saw him about fifteen years ago or so at RFK Stadium in DC on the 4th of July...hot as blazes that day but one of the best concerts I've ever seen! Enjoy.
  20. I think it's hillarious that TH is threatening to sit out the season if he's not traded. He came to the Bills last year with his hand out, asking for an extension because he was broke. If not for his own stupidity, he'd be an UFA right now. No way he holds out...he needs the money. The Bills have all the leverage with him. TH, you and your agent need to sit down and shut up. If the Bills don't get what they want for you, you can walk next year. Stay and play the good soldier as a valuable backup and get yourself a decent contract in '06. Sit out and reduce your next contract to the vet minimum.
  21. NYC - Paul Tagliabue: "With the fifth pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Carnell Williams, running back from Auburn". Arizona War Room - Dennis Green: "Fug me!! I'm a douchebag...get Tom Donahoe on the phone".
  22. That's debatable and not quantifiable at this time. Only time will tell...with Wyche and Clements mentoring him, I like JP's chances to be better than either Smith or Rodgers.
  23. If Rogers can stay healthy and Harrington can get it together, coupled with the emergence of Kevin Jones, that will be one scary offense.
  24. Congrats on your top ten selection today. Nice to see you still have time to post on a Bills board. Good luck in Tennessee.
