DE Chris Long.

You, sir or madam, are the dumbest in a long line of dumb !@#$s...and, on this board, that's saying something. I vote drawn & quartered...but that's just me.

Exactly...and he's short. Short we don't need. Next...

Yes, he will...late first at best and I tend to agree with you on this. -
ESPN Draft Day Memories -
ExWNYer replied to indiragandhi'sthong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I loved those early days, too, and I'm pretty sure that the draft was held on Tuesday, not Thursday. I actually had those draft kits you could get from ESPN, complete with the old red logo in block letters, encased in the red oval. Ah, youth... -
Yet another sign that PFW has totally lost it
ExWNYer replied to Lurker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So what's your point?? PFW's poll was on the best DE's EVER, not just the '80s and '90s. Long played for a "glamour" team and, while an above average DE, he couldn't hold the jock of either Reggie White or Bruce Smith, let alone Deacon Jones. -

Gives you a real "warm and fuzzy" as a Bills fan, doesn't it? Douchebags like Jones, Kraft, and Snyder won't be satisfied until they've killed the proverbial goose that laid the golden egg. The NFL is currently the most watched and richest, major sports league yet these "visionaries" want to re-invent the wheel. And not for the good of the league but for their own selfish gain. Don't want to work hard by putting a good front office with talent evaluating skills in place? Don't want to have the satisfaction of beating out your competition on your superior merits? No problem. Just out spend them, plain and simple. These twits are like the rich kid who's not smart enough or talented enough to get into school so daddy simply buys off the administrators to secure junior's entry. If these morons get their way and strong-arm their beliefs into reality, the next owner of the Bills will have no choice but to move the team to greener pastures. Have fun rooting for only the same four or five teams with a chance to win it all every year, NFL fans. -
I'm saying no if you're planning on taking Hardy in the 1st Round. He can be had in the 2nd, IMO, and if he's gone so be it. Let someone else deal with his character issues. Plus, I don't see the Bills moving down to take two WRs in the 1st Round..doesn't make sense with the other needs on this team. This draft is deep at receiver...no need to grab two that high. BTW, Kelly @ #22 would be fantastic.

Problem is, "the Bruce problem" throws all credibility out the window. Bills fan or not, the only DEs who can even be debated as being better than Bruce are Reggie White and Deacon Jones. Period. Howie Schlong??? Puh-lease. -
For you conspiracy theorists who think that the NFL has it in for the Bills it's quite obvious. It'll be the Pats*, naturally. Fresh off their humilating loss to end their "perfect" season and with blood in their eyes. This one has Bills beat down written all over it.

"...Buffalo traded its #11 and #173 overall to Washington for the Redskins #21, #52 and # 85 (1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks). Chicago drafts DE Philip Merling with the # 11." Sucks to be the Deadskins. If only this could really happen to Dumb Snyder.
-
They're an old, expensive team. They're going for it now because they have a very small window. If they don't turn it around soon they'll be rebuilding for years.

Tomcat...where are you in Jamestown? I've got an aunt & uncle there whom I visit twice a year. Once for the Fourth of July and once when I make my annual pilgrimage for a game in the fall. -

While I think it's fruitless to predict this season based on last year's results and without benefit of the draft, OTAs, training camp, and preseason (but that's the point, eh, LA?), I'll play along for schitts and giggles. I also hope I'm eliminated in week one and am wrong on every other loss I predicted. Trent Green Trade to Miami "Imminent"
ExWNYer replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And vice versa. -
I actually like this mock and I agree with your assessment that "the 2nd WR is overkill. they need another LB somewhere in the draft." The one exception I take with this draft is Rice in the 2nd Round. I think the Bills have too many other pressing needs to grab a WR here. If Timmons falls that far, I would consider trading up a few spots to land him. I think the team looks much better with Willis & Timmons than with Willis & Rice...just my 2 cents.
-
You're assuming that Marv and his staff are targeting one specific player at 12. What if they have three or four players in mind that they feel have similar grades? Why wouldn't you trade down? Don't assume that the Bills won't move up or down based on last year's draft. Much like a season, each draft is its own unique entity.
-
No offense, Beerball, but I coudn't care less. He won't be on the Bills and I doubt his status will affect who will or won't be available for Buffalo.
-
I don't disagree with this at all. If the Brownies pass on Peterson, I believe that they will become a factor in the Turner "sweepstakes", if there is such a thing.
-
If Peterson is still Avail at 10....
ExWNYer replied to The Tomcat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not unless Peterson is truly who you covet and you fear someone else (like Green Bay) jumping up to 10 or 11 to get him. Houston wouldn't take him at 10 if they're wiling to deal out of the spot and San Francisco just inked Frank Gore to a mega deal, so they won't take him, either. -
Tennessee still talking to San Diego about Turner.

The picks would be a 1st & a 3rd rounder, not two 1st rounders...but your premise is still correct. -

Since when does the NFL care what the fans think? What's the bottom line? If it makes them scads of money, they'll take it under advisement. -

So there's been a 'T-bone' sighting? -
Call him? You mean like the last time you said you were going to call me?? Still waiting... Besides, I don't think he'd appreciate you tying up his phone lines while he's fervently trying to get his season tickets for the 2007-2008 Rutgers women's basketball season.
