  1. Good God, no. Please just stop...
  2. I'd sign on for those or the throwbacks in a heartbeat.
  3. I've thought for years that they should make it a national holiday. It's the one event that just about everyone watches whether or not they're a football fan. I rarely go to SB parties anymore, especially if I have to travel any distance. I have 8 and 10 year old boys and it's a school night for them. I don't like missing any of the game and I'd have to leave by haltime in order to get home and get them settled in bed. That's not an option for me so the wife, kids, and I usually watch at home (yes, I've hosted before but prefer not to do so). Knowing that the kids were out of school the next day would make me more inclined to go to a party. In fact, we were invited to one this year and declined for that very reason. Having a day off would be great but I can take the next day without any problem so it's not much of an issue for me personally. The other option I wouldn't mind is to hold the game on Saturday night. I don't buy into the BS that the NFL needs the game on Sunday. They threw that out the window when the decided to sell their product to the highest bidder(s) on Thursdays, Saturdays, Mondays, and even holidays. The game wouldn't suffer any ratings on Saturday, even if that's historically a horrible night for TV. People are out in bars partying anyway. They'd watch. So, yes, I'd prefer they make the Monday after the game a national holiday or, failing that, hold it on Saturday night. Anyway, that's my two cents, FWIW.
  4. I'm pulling for the Packers...and I think the Packers are going to win. I believe Rodgers runs Pittsburgh's DBs ragged and the game isn't as low scoring as many believe it will be. 34-17, GB.
  5. Wow, very cool! Thanks for sharing a rare piece of Buffalo Bills history.
  6. Agreed, WRT Ralph...same mouth. That's where I think the resemblance is anyway.
  7. I can't see him getting past Indy in the 1st.
  8. Agreed. Well said. You should also post it on a Packers board.
  9. Don't forget that if Ralph hadn't bailed out Al's ass and floated him some cash, Davis would've been just a footnote in AFL history.
  10. No, thanks. Not an upgrade, IMHO. We already have one Cincy castoff in Fitz and, unlike Palmer, at least Fitz can run.
  11. Agreed. I am a diehard Green Bay fan for the remainder of this postseason. I despise all of the remaining AFC entrants, including the Stillers. It pains me to not be able to root for the AFC in the Super Bowl. That said, I can't stand the Pats* or Jest but at least NE* has earned the right to puff out their chests, like it or not. Teams, players, coaches, & fans who constantly talk smack/antagonize without ever having done anything (like the Jest) make me ill. Just shut up and go away until you prove something. Make no mistake, I wish both teams could lose and lose big but that wasn't an option. Given the two options presented by the OP, I'd rather see 'Dr. Evil' Belichick defeat 'Fat Bastard' Ryan. GO PACK!!!
  12. I think they're talking about Singletary about 2:53 in... http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/15056/
  13. I doubt it. I hear the penitentiary is sometimes soft against the pass but they are a brick wall against the run.
  14. Thanks. It amazes me how so many people fall hook, line, & sinker and take as gospel everything that these talking heads, columnists, bloggers, etc. spew. Why did Glazer so conveniently "forget" to mention that the Bills received TWO picks from Seattle in lieu of one from New Orleans?? As it turns out, the Seahawks and Saints will be drafting around the same spot in this year's draft. Who would've taken that bet at the beginning of the year? Only the dumbest of the dumb. Funny how hindsight is 20/20, huh? Some of these armchair GMs need to take a step back from the ledge....or maybe they should just do us all a favor and jump.
  15. And he knows this how, exactly?? Pure speculation. The Bills received a 4th this year and a conditional pick in 2012. You're talking the difference between a 3rd & 4th, not a 3rd & 7th. At the beginning of the year, would you not have thought that the Saints' 3rd would be a low end pick and the Seahawks' 4th a high end pick? Fairly close, no? Plus you get an additional pick from Seattle in '12. And you want everyone fired? Good grief. I'll take the two picks from Seattle over New Orleans' 3rd any day.
  16. Agreed. If people don't think he's great, I don't have a problem with that. To say he "sucks" is flat out ignorant. No team has Pro Bowlers at every position. The morons who think that everyone on this team should be cut are unbelievable. You can't fill all 22 positions with all stars. You need solid, if unspectacular, players, too. Poz definitely qualifies.
  17. I'd rather have my blood pressure rising right about now...
  18. /\ This. Absolutely. Will take them as the lesser of two evils over the dulfelons, as well. That's about it.
  19. No love for Kyle Williams?
  20. Why not just listen to 97 Rock? They're the ones who carry the Bills radio feed and their pre- & postgame feeds are streamed online. You don't have to listen to WGR. http://www.97rock.com/
  21. "Yes...I AM a cocksure QB."
  22. They mentioned today that he was a very good basketball player, too. I don't recall hearing that one before.
  23. Nobody said that the refs were "targeting" Vick and Roethlisberger. Just that some believe (including Andy Reid and the Eagles) that the NFL has a double standard for some of their Madison Avenue 'Golden Boys' like Peyton Manning and, more specifically, Tom Brady.
  24. Good Lord... Amen.
