  1. All of the above. He is a worthless douchebag of mammoth proportions and interested in making a buck only. He'd raise prices on everything dramatically and the team would be gone in a couple of years. Let him and his loudmouthed, big city ego stay where it belongs in the NYC/NJ area.
  2. Ralph Wilson is so old...when he was born, dirt hadn't yet been invented.
  3. I remember watching that game and seeing it on the NFL Game of The Week highlights. Amazing. Jerry had Hall of Fame talent. Too bad he couldn't have played longer. Agreed. He, Bob Chandler, and J.D. Hill are still my favorite Bills WRs to this day.
  4. No they don't...just ask his wife. j/k Rich, hope you are well, my friend...how about a phone call soon? It's been too long. BTW, you know I'm a diehard 'Bama fan and was advocating Dareus before most (despite a brief flirtation with Fairley). Spot on analysis, as usual.
  5. What the pundits also don't know: Chan Gailey is currently an NFL Head Coach and Buddy Nix is currently an NFL GM. The pundits are neither and in most cases never were. And they DON'T know what this team needs/has as much as CG & BN do.
  6. Not to mention Philip Rivers.
  7. I'm sure the Jills can find a spot for her!
  8. I think Dukes was an ass as they were signing off, too. Johnson was talking about Fitzpatrick and referred to him as "Fitzmagic" whereby Dukes proceeded to say, "17 points a game is magic?", "28th in offense?" He said it a little under his breath and SJ apparently didn't hear it. I don't have a problem with Dukes speaking his mind but you rarely see an analyst talk negatively about a team when a memeber of that team is on the set. I just thought that he should have stood there like everybody else, smiled, and let the screen fade to black. Classless move on his part, IMO.
  9. I was wondering if he's any relation to my 2nd Grade teacher from Grand Island, Linda Dobmeier. She taught my sister, brother, & me years ago and was the favorite teacher of all three of us. My sister still keeps in touch with her so I'm going to try and find out if Jim is related to Linda. That would be wild. Either way, I'm glad a local guy got the contract. Very cool. BTW, I noticed the blue endzones in the pic, too. My first thought was that must have to do with the uni changes but would they have let a bidder in on that? I doubt it. More likely, it's just his vision of how the field would look.
  10. Sorry, Tip. Gotta give this a big hell no. WR is not a problem spot for this team and I don't want him anywhere near Buffalo. Let him take his tired act and diminishing skills elsewhere.
  11. Beerball, logic has no place in this thread where the OP is concerned. He's proven that post after post after post and has no intention of giving you a straight answer as to who he would've taken at #3.
  12. When the fug did I defend Ralph Wilson in this thread???! Way to try and deflect from your original premise because you can't support it. I tried being reasonable and respectful of your opinion but you just want to argue anything and everything whether salient to this thread or not...truly living up to the first part of your screen name, I see.
  13. And hindsight is 20/20. Must be nice to look back and say "I told you so" without putting yourself out on a limb in advance. As has been stated numerous times by others in this thread, you've given no examples to support your position. Who did YOU want in those 51 years?? You're being argumentative for argument's sake and you clearly can't see the logic in anyone's position other than your own. Obviously, you're not relenting and just beating a dead horse now. Provide something other than hindsight GM-ing or move on...
  14. That's nice to hear and shining some positive light on the Bills is always welcomed but his is just like everyone else's, good or bad...an opinion. That said, it would be awesome if he turns out to be correct down the line. GO BILLS!!!
  15. Agreed. But I'm sure that all the QB "experts" on this board and know-it-all-media types who are crucifying the Bills for not taking one this year are convinced that Gailey & Nix are unaware of this.
  16. I don't have an issue with your original premise, per se. What I do have an issue with is making that point THIS year. I get it if they had passed on an Andrew Luck "can't miss" type but, come on, passing on Dareus at #3 for any of these crapshoots would've been insane. And while they may not have taken a QB first in 51 years, that also wasn't a realistic option all of those years either, was it? Not to mention that they hardly needed to draft a QB first during the heyday of Fergy and Kelly. If you don't get my point now, I guess you won't ever. That's fine. You're entitled to your opinion.
  17. Ordinarily, I'd say say "no way" but provided the Bills staff is convinced he's the next Peyton Manning or Tom Brady and they're willing to spend on any quality free agents at positions of significant need since they wouldn't have any picks, I'd sign off on a "Ricky Williams" type trade. Luck may just be one of those once in a generation type prospects.
  18. And who, exactly, was that "franchise QB" at #3? Gabbert? Locker?? Ponder??? Dalton???? EPIC FAIL.
  19. Walterfootball. Yet another insignificant nation heard from... I don't think there's a Bills fan who wouldn't like to have a franchise QB but anyone thinking that the Bills were going to be a Super Bowl contender this year is seriously kidding themselves or just plain delusional. There was no concensus "can't miss" QB like Andrew Luck available at #3. Taking Gabbert over Dareus would have been nothing short of assinine. Fitz will be fine this year under Gailey while this coaching staff and front office try to fill some of the glaring holes on this team. While QB will eventually need to be addressed, it was NOT a glaring need on this team. With fewer positional needs to plug, I have no doubt that QB will be addressed after the '11 season. Building a solid foundation first is essential to any future QB's success. I think that foundation is rounding into shape nicely and I love this regime's approach vs. the prior dolts in charge. GO BILLS!!!
  20. Oh Marcel, your muscles are soooooooooooo big...I'm as giddy as a school girl! May I have this next waltz?
  21. Every other year I'd be excited. This year I couldn't care less.
  22. I already experienced it with the Buffalo Braves.
  23. I agree. I watched it and couldn't believe that it was an ESPN piece. Very objective, IMO. Even Mortensen wasn't his usual, snarky self towards the Bills. I don't know what the OP watched but I didn't see Dilfer cutting down the Bills. I saw him passionately advocating them drafting Cam Newton (with which I disagree). If anything, he put himself down by saying that you can't win without a franchise QB unless you have the defense he had with the Ravens when they won the Super Bowl. He doesn't think Fitz is a franchise QB and that Newton is. That remains to be seen but it wasn't a dig at the Bills.
