Bottom-line: The turf wasn't the deciding factor in DeCastro's injury. He was bull-rushed and crumpled like a cheap suit. Unfortunately, injuries happen...artificial turf or not.

I believe that was bowery's attempt at humor based on Roethlisberger's stupid comments about the turf at The Ralph causing DeCastro's injury (see the Roethlisberger thread).

Exactly right. DeCastro got owned on that play and it's unfortunate for him that he suffered such a devastating injury. As usual, Roethlisberger should just STFU and play QB. He's a Neanderthal in cleats.

That would be all concerned, Pooj. The one who went to Fredonia for the first two years (from North Collins) is the same age as me, 48. The other girl is from Olean and is a couple of years younger (45 or 46). Haven't seen the former since '86, the latter since '93. Basically, a lifetime ago. BTW, I have two other Fredonia connections. My dad went there for a semester in 1960 before joining the Air Force. My aunt in Jamestown (his sister) graduated from there in the '60s. I used to attend training camp there every chance I got. My grandmother lived just up the road in Dunkirk on the corner of W. 7th Street & Brigham Road.

No, but there's a good chance she did him. She spent her first two years at Fredonia State. Her family moved to VA after her Sophomore year. She followed them and graduated college down here.

I like your unbridled enthusiasm. What Bills fan couldn't be looking forward to this season? It holds the most promise in years. Hopefully, injuries finally fall off some for this team and potential turns into production. GO BILLS!!!
