PC: " You know, Wanny...it wasn't that long ago that my reputation around this league sucked as bad as you and your team." DW: "Sooooooooooooooo...you're sayin' there's a chance?!"

Q: "What will Chan do with new QB"? A: Leave him on the bench and say, "It's Fitz's turn."

Chans Presser - Poorly called plays comment?
ExWNYer replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's not forget the 4-17 Hank Bullough who described Buffalo as a city with a great ''work ethnic'' and also said of his team, ''We took the sails out of their wind.'' A classic Bills head coaching loser. -
50-60 yard FG's are off the Bills table
ExWNYer replied to mitchmurraydowntown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, because he suffered a torn ligament in the first game of 2011 on a freak play and had a groin issue this year which is now healed. The Chargers got impatient and went in another direction. They waited until he was healed to release him. He said he was healthy before the team did and wanted to be released earlier. He's better than Lindell. Period. This organization is a rudderless ship. They have no problem cutting Moorman but cling to Lindell...and won't let him kick. Go figure. -

The Bills should've signed Nate Kaeding after the Chargers cut him. He's got a leg and has been money in the regular season...one of the best ever. Granted, he's had his struggles in the post season but the Bills will never have to worry about that. -
"Stink" Schlereth says the Bills were trash talking

I've said for years now that they should do away with the logo and replace it with a redskin potato. Slap that on the side of their helmet and roll on...problem solved. -

No offense but if you believe that at this point, you're either blind, stupid, or both. I love FJ but CJ is by far the more explosive, dangerous back. He should be the main back and Fred should be the change of pace guy but both should be on the field more at the same time. I think the only reason that Chan is starting FJ and giving him so many carries is that he's afraid of losing the locker room because Fred has been such a valuable leader and team player. It's going to be tough to transition to CJ without dividing the team...just my 2 cents.

Just watched the INT on the DVR multiple times
ExWNYer replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We're going to agree to disagree then. Given Fitz' history of trying to do too much when a safer option is available, did anyone really think that him throwing into traffic wouldn't end badly? We've seen this movie way too often. -

Again, an inconsistent rookie who's had his share of drops was NOT the right choice. The kid hasn't played all that much this year and shouldn't have even been on the field. Why would you trust him in that situation? -

This board is obviously divided. Fitz' fault, TJ's fault, TJ's fault, Fitz' fault. This debate isn't going to end. What is not debatable, IMO, is that calling a play to an inconsistent rookie with the game on the line is asinine. Given Chan's propensity to consistently call the wrong plays at crucial moments in a game and Fitz' tendency to throw a pick &/or come up small in said moments, I put more of this on those two than on Graham, even if he ran the wrong route. He shouldn't even be an option there. Fitz had other, higher percentage reads but, as is his M.O., he screwed the pooch...again. Even without a timeout, 30 seconds at the opponent's 15 yard line is an eternity in the NFL. -
Super Bowl XXV...'Wide Right'. Not even close.

Graham had to have run the wrong route...
ExWNYer replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said this very thing in another thread. Gailey getting cute (again) by calling a play to a little used rookie and Fitz' lack of field vision ultimately led to this loss. CJ, Fred, Chandler, Stevie, Jones and you call a play to Graham with the game on the line. Gailey "out-dumbed" himself (again), Fitz came up small (again), and the Cheatriots* walked away with a win over the Bills (again). Another Buffa-low. -
There's plenty of blame to go around, whether you want to crucify, the owner, the coaches, Fitz, Graham...but no matter how you slice it, this team ALWAYS finds a way to come up small. A loser's mentality permeates the entire organization.

This garbage reminds me all too well of the Miami games of the '70s. Bills never had things go their way and in the end would always find a way to get your hopes up then break your heart...and Miami would walk away victorious.
-
Bottom-line: Fitz had a chance to pull a Brady and he pulled a Fitz. Donald Jones was standing all alone along the sideline, near the 5. Horrible call to wing that down the middle into traffic. Fitz has zero field vision.

Bills Can't Possibly Win - Can they?
ExWNYer replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd really like to know what the NFL takes into account when determining its final schedule. You mean to tell me that with all of the computer permutations they run to arrive at an "optimal" schedule, that this is what the Bills end up having???: - Back-to-back west coast road games (San Francisco and Arizona) followed by... - A game against a team coming off of 10 days rest (Tennessee). Followed by... - A game against a team coming off of its bye week (Houston), negating your (Buffalo) bye week "advantage". Followed by... - A game against a divisional opponent coming off of its bye week (NE*) {for what seems like the umpteenth time, as JR said}. Followed by... - Another game against a divisional opponent (Miami) on a short week. Really??? This is ridiculous whether it's the Bills or any other team. I know that bye weeks are a money grab for the NFL by stretching the season but how about making it fair for all 32 teams? Who needs a bye in Week 4?! Teams off in Weeks 4 -10? You really need 7 bye weeks and a weakened slate of games for nearly two months?? Here's what I would do and the league still gets its precious extra week: - Four bye weeks starting in Week 7. This ends the useless, early season byes and gives everyone a truer "half season" bye. - There would be two entire divisions off in each of Weeks 7, 8, 9, & 10. One AFC, one NFC to balance out the TV schedule. For example, AFC East & NFC East off in Week 7. This works with an even number of teams in each division. The league has not expanded yet so this model does apply. - The following week, all of the bye week teams would play within their own division. For example, in Week 8 - NE* vs. BUF (since NE* always gets this, anyway), MIA vs. NYJ; DAL vs. WAS, PHI vs. NYG. - Thursday Night games: A team would neither have to play a divisional opponent on one of these short weeks, nor would they be allowed to play another divisional opponent after having the 10 day "advantage" of participating in the previous week's Thursday game. This would take some doing but it could be done. The league works on these schedules for months and comes up with thousands of variations before releasing the final version. Not the point. This shouldn't be the case for any team, not just the Bills. The league can correct these situations and should. End of story. BTW, Chevy...nice article. -
No need...Vick could do that for you.
