  1. Are you sure he's studying and not praying that his guy is still there at 16?
  2. Going to 23 with Minny would be awesome.
  3. Yeah, but he's not in our division so we wouldn't benefit.
  4. At least they didn't take Lane Johnson...I was worried about that. I'm glad they gave up their 2 for Jordan. He could be Maybin 2.0.
  5. WTF? Only giving up the 42 to move all the way to 3?? Oakland will always suck.
  6. A) They're not trading him. B) I don't believe he can be traded until he's signed his tender and that hasn't happened yet.
  7. Larry was truly an icon, one of the best. I loved reading his columns growing up and feel fortunate not only for that but also that I got to later listen to his opinions and insight on the radio and then to see him on Empire Sports Network. A very sad day for all who knew him personally or via his work. We lost a great one. You will be missed, Mr. Felser. Rest In Peace.
  8. Per SNY, 6 years, $96 million. They'd better hope that knee holds up...
  9. Whaaa? You don't want to show him your beer balls?
  10. "DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLE PILLS?!!" http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/09/29/science_is_brilliant/
  11. Astro...how does the Revis trade affect Draftek's analysis of the 1st Round and this Bills/49ers scenario now?
  12. Maybe. But this front office, Buddy in particular, seems to be skittish when it comes to trading back and losing out on "their guy". Nix is staid in his thinking and this trade may help cement that mentality, IMO. A riverboat gambler he's not.
  13. The bolded is essentially what I said earlier. I like your follow-on points, as well. Another I'd add is that while it's nice that he's out of the division, I'm not as jazzed about it as some others. Not only is he coming off of a major knee injury, he's a malcontent. He was guaranteed to cause drama in the Jest camp at some point and, more than likely, would've been holding out again in the not-too-distant future even if given a new contract. I believe the Jest will be better off without him...maybe not immediately but in the long run.
  14. Hmmmmmm..."The New York Jets...making even the Buffalo Bills look smart."
  15. First link I've seen... http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/9195939/new-york-jets-trade-darrelle-revis-tampa-bay-buccaneers-pending-physical-source
  16. Two picks in the top 13. They can afford to grab the top QB on their board, if they so desire, or even slide back a little. With Sanchez' contract, they may not be looking QB in the 1st Round but earlier reports of them trying to package him in a Revis deal makes me wonder, that's all. I don't think they would even consider QB at 9 but they might be willing to pull the trigger at 13. I just think it makes it much riskier for the Bills to try sliding into the middle of the 1st to grab "their guy", whoever that might be. JMO.
  17. I agree. If the Bills were "thinking" QB at #8, this may definitively cause them to pull the trigger now, IMHO.
  18. Scrolling repeatedly on SNY a few minutes before 1:00 PM today: "According to multiple reports, the Jets have traded CB Darrelle Revis to the Buccaneers pending a physical." Still haven't seen it confirmed anywhere else...yet.
  19. Anyone picked by the Bills in the 1st Round...
  20. Nassib, Barkley...Barkley, Nassib. Flipping a coin...the coin says Nassib.
  21. I posted this last fall and I stand by it: "I know that bye weeks are a money grab for the NFL by stretching the season but how about making it fair for all 32 teams? Who needs a bye in Week 4?! Teams off in Weeks 4 -10? You really need 7 bye weeks and a weakened slate of games for nearly two months?? Here's what I would do and the league still gets its precious extra week: - Four bye weeks starting in Week 7. This ends the useless, early season byes and gives everyone a truer "half season" bye. - There would be two entire divisions off in each of Weeks 7, 8, 9, & 10. One AFC, one NFC to balance out the TV schedule. For example, AFC East & NFC East off in Week 7. This works with an even number of teams in each division. The league has not expanded yet so this model does apply. - The following week, all of the bye week teams would play within their own division. For example, in Week 8 - NE* vs. BUF (since NE* always gets this, anyway), MIA vs. NYJ; DAL vs. WAS, PHI vs. NYG. - Thursday Night games: A team would neither have to play a divisional opponent on one of these short weeks, nor would they be allowed to play another divisional opponent after having the 10 day "advantage" of participating in the previous week's Thursday game. This would take some doing but it could be done. The league works on these schedules for months and comes up with thousands of variations before releasing the final version."
  22. I posted this last fall and I stand by it: "I'd really like to know what the NFL takes into account when determining its final schedule. You mean to tell me that with all of the computer permutations they run to arrive at an "optimal" schedule, that this is what the Bills end up having???: - Back-to-back west coast road games (San Francisco and Arizona) followed by... - A game against a team coming off of 10 days rest (Tennessee). Followed by... - A game against a team coming off of its bye week (Houston), negating your (Buffalo) bye week "advantage". Followed by... - A game against a divisional opponent coming off of its bye week (NE*) {for what seems like the umpteenth time, as JR said}. Followed by... - Another game against a divisional opponent (Miami) on a short week. Really??? This is ridiculous whether it's the Bills or any other team. I know that bye weeks are a money grab for the NFL by stretching the season but how about making it fair for all 32 teams? Who needs a bye in Week 4?! Teams off in Weeks 4 -10? You really need 7 bye weeks and a weakened slate of games for nearly two months?? Here's what I would do and the league still gets its precious extra week: - Four bye weeks starting in Week 7. Time for the NFL to get it right...hey, it's not rocket science, Competition Committee.
  23. It wasn't a compliment (and it certainly wasn't a "complement") but knowing that should make you feel good as you like to wallow in misery. Like it or not, you truly do come off as an ass. That's not an insult, that's the perception you give and the result of your constant sour grapes. As many posters have pointed out, why do you bother following this team if they make you completely miserable? It's a hobby, a passion...not life and death. Nobody said you weren't entitled to your opinion, me included, but you deliver the same trite, whiny message over and over and over again. We get it, this team hasn't been good for years and a couple of days at voluntary OTAs doesn't make them a Super Bowl contender but that wasn't the OP's point of this thread now was it? You just had to come in and piss all over it because tearing down the Bills and others who aren't "smart" enough to share your never-ending fatalistic view of things apparently makes you feel better. You never seem to find anything positive to say about this team, no matter how small it might be. What you say isn't the "truth", it's just your sad, joyless opinion which never, ever changes. But if that makes you feel better (or maybe in your case worse??), then by all means carry on, Eeyore.
