I don't see much mocking going on in this thread. Some information given about what was said on Sirius NFL Radio, a few jokes, maybe a shot or two taken at a former coach. Pretty standard for this board. Nothing egregious said towards Mularkey, IMHO. While I don't believe he deserves to be mocked, he certainly doesn't deserve to be praised and there is definitely no need to defend him. He chose to leave Buffalo and he's had ample opportunity to prove himself since doing so. What he's done in that time is prove that he's incredibly mediocre.

For the OP to state that "the Bills actually have some talent at the linebacker position" and then offer up Hughes' name as an example, won't give most fans a warm and fuzzy. Hughes has been a bust up to this point in his career. Throw in a rookie who's never played a down in the NFL and a free agent vet who's never played a down for this team and there are a ton of question marks with very few provens on the roster. Time will tell.

He also said something to the effect that there is still an element of that within the organization today. He was being very cryptic but he seemed to be taking a shot at Brandon and Wilson, IMO. Basically, saying that the Bills still have issues at the top in spite of the changes made. Could be true or could just be a case of sour grapes. Agreed.

Amazing...that must be a huge relief to both Jim and his family. Great to hear that news.

Two other really odd things about that season were: 1) Three of their first four games went to overtime (2-1). 2) They were actually shutout once (10-0). An offense with those numbers should have been able to overcome ten points; however, it was their worst statistical game of that season (185 total yards) and five turnovers plus a missed FG will tend to kill anyone's chances of winning.
