  1. Ridiculous. Tell that to the Packers, Bears, Cowboys, Raiders, Steelers and any number of teams who have stood pat with classic & timeless unis. The Bills current threads are in that category. They are the best in the league, IMO. The perfect blend of red, white, & blue...the real 'America's Team'. Red is my favorite color and I NEVER want the Bills to go away from the white helmet. I thought I'd hate the blue on blue worn for the GB game but I actually thought it looked sharp. The blue on blue abominations ushered in during the Donahoe era were the worst. Biggest mistake since the Sabres went to the black & red unis with the 'goat head' logo (ugh). When the Bills went to the current unis in 2011, I was overjoyed. As for the Patriots*, their current unis are one of the worst in the league. The flying Elvis on the helmets is dopey looking. Thank you. Seems like every couple months somebody starts opining for the red helmets. No thanks...they served their purpose and they need to stay in the team archives. Why mess with perfection which is what they have now?
  2. Which is exactly why you don't burn any bridges on the way out...of any job, NFL or otherwise. He made his bed and now he has to lie in it. 'Supine Doug'.
  3. Agreed. I can't see GB winning at SEA if Rodgers is playing as banged up as he has been so far. That's a tall order even if he was completely healthy. Luck has to play out of his mind for Indy to have any shot, IMO. I don't see that happening either.
  4. I have to admit, I love that jingle...really catchy. Sounds like a throwback to a bygone era. Their commercials are the worst...can't stand them. I sing this over their jingle to drown it out. "William C's rotten son...ste-e-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeals your phone."
  5. I get the feeling that a lot of the QBs who people may want won't be available...nothing concrete, just a hunch that not as many will be available as thought. That said, I think the Bills will end up with somebody who will cost them nothing but money. For that reason, I voted Matt Moore but 'd like to see them take a chance on Sam Bradford. JMO Agreed. I don't believe it will happen. Much like the Marrone/Nassib speculation.
  6. I have a hard time believing that Manning would be involved in the search for Denver's next head coach and then leave for another team. http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/update/24960083/elway-peyton-manning-will-be-involved-in-search-for-new-coach
  7. 'This is our time' . You may have just coined the new marketing slogan for 2015...
  8. No. The interview would be for a promotion to DC. PJ is not currently the Bills DC.
  9. I agree 100%, Dean. He's what the Bills needed at the time though to bring them out of the barren '70s (1 playoff appearance in '74). His defense in 1980 was fantastic & 'The Bermuda Triangle' was fun to watch. Had Fergy not been hobbled by a bum ankle in San Diego, I do think that the Bills would've gone to the Super Bowl that year and Knox may have been able to shed the "not the guy to get you to the next level" tag.
  10. Sorry, but you're wrong. Your sentiment is on target though...Ralph was notorious for hiring his coaches on the cheap. I just think that it wasn't fair to leave out Knox. He was a "big name" hire and a good one at that.
  11. Shouldn't that bet be in British Pounds (£)?

  14. I agree that it could have gone either way. I saw it as the dopey "didn't complete a football act". I think it may be the stupidest rule in the book but I also believe that the refs actually got it right. I can also see where people would disagree. Dallas fans can't blame the refs. They advanced last week on a controversial call that benefited them.
  15. Bulls***! I didn't manipulate any stats and I didn't downplay his SB wins. I simply pointed out that they occurred pre-turn of the century, which is true and that he's done next to nothing during the time that the Bills have missed the playoffs. That includes Denver, not just Washington. I also said in another post that I wouldn't stop following the team if they hired him...he's just far from my first choice and I think that the Bills can do far better under the Pegulas than they did under Ralph and that means no to Shanahan. I never said he was horrible, he's just not the coach to lead this team into the 21st century NFL, IMO. Sorry to be so blunt but it's the truth.
  16. I voted for Darrell Bevell in the who do you want as HC thread, although I wouldn't be crushed if they didn't get him. I also wouldn't stop following the team if they chose Shanahan. He's just far from my first choice. I'm assuming that you were one of the 4 forward thinkers out of the 75 casting votes so far who want Shanahan. If not, I apologize...that would make 5 out of 76. Reminds me of those who wanted Lovie Smith two years ago. Were you one of them?
  17. Nobody thinks that Little Dummy Snyder is a horrible owner more than I do. But Shanahan was the VP of Football Operations and willingly took that job knowing who the owner was. Do you really think that he had no input into all that went on there??
