The NFL took three of the AAFC teams when the AAFC folded...the Cleveland Browns, SF 49ers, & Baltimore Colts. The Colts were selected to be the third team...over the Bills. He also loaned money to then Boston Patriots owner Billy Sullivan for the same reason. Damn Ralph!

I was actually going to pick the Bills in the TBD Pick 'em pool and, at the eleventh hour, just couldn't pull the trigger. Definitely thought they could win but ultimately thought they would lose a close one, mostly due to the absence of Cordy Glenn. Crow is for those who gave this team no chance or thought they would get annihilated and not even be in the game. Not eating any crow here. I also picked Jacksonville then changed it before kickoff. Lesson? Stick with your first instinct. Two losses that would've been wins.

For the record, had the Bills left...they AND the NFL would be dead to me. I've stated that on more than one occasion. Hasn't/won't change. I think that the majority (not all) of Bills fans feel the same. There is a unique connection between the WNY community and this team which most fan bases don't share or even begin to fathom.

I essentially said this to my son after we both got over the shock of these trades. All of these picks signal to me that they are loading up to be able to grab a top QB prospect next year. If that is indeed the plan, they had better nail that choice or this franchise will be going on 25 years of no playoffs.
