  1. They may be thankful in the long run. Her best years may be behind her and the Bills may not have been able to meet her demands anyway. Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make. It would have been one mother of a trade for the Bills though. They could have renamed the field house 'The Oedipus Complex'.
  2. Doubtful. The Raiduhs trade away edge rushers' mothers, they don't trade for them. Just ask Khalil Mack's mom.
  3. ...all while Kraft is sitting with his pants bunched around his ankles.
  4. "Elway on Possibly Trading Von"? So it came straight from the horse's mouth...
  5. I watched my share of games at Grevey's back in the day (early '90s). Loved that place...it always felt like you were right back in WNY. I was bummed when I heard it had closed. I still can't believe that I haven't made it up to Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Herndon, VA for a game but I have promised @R. Rich that I will catch a game up there with him soon. A couple of buddies and I used to make the trip from Richmond up to Falls Church together for the Grevey's experience. One of them grew up in Buffalo, one in Silver Creek, and me in Grand Island and none of us knew the others until we met in Richmond. As for 'The Greatest Comeback in NFL History'... The three of us were at the house of the guy from Silver Creek watching together like we usually did when they were on locally. At halftime, we were all completely dejected and befuddled at everything that had happened to that point and we were all bummed at the prospect that the Bills' consecutive Super Bowl run was over. None of us had completely given up because of the resiliency of those Super Bowl teams but deep in our hearts we knew it was more than likely over at 28-3. The pick six to start the 3rd quarter that made it 35-3 put us into a deeper funk but none of us were turning off that game. The guy from Buffalo was always the overly optimistic type who thought the Bills would win even if they were down 100-0 with a minute to play. When the Bills scored their first TD in the second half to make it 35-10, we all looked at each other and I said to them half-heartedly, "Well, that's a start." Even 'Mr. Optimist' wasn't quite back on board yet. When the Bills made it 35-17, we all started getting pumped and then believed that the Bills could and would win it even though they still had a big hill to climb. When they took the lead, 38-35, we were beside ourselves with excitement but we also knew that it wasn't quite over. When Houston kicked the game tying FG to send it to overtime, I remember saying, "We can't have done all of this just to lose. We HAVE to win this game." When Steve Christie kicked the game winner, we were jumping up and down in a victory circle and hit the floor in a pile of joyous humanity. The host from Silver Creek ended up with a sprained ankle but it was no doubt the greatest pain of his life. ? What a roller coaster of emotion that day was. The lowest of lows followed by the highest of highs. I remember taping every post-game highlight I could find and watching ESPN all night long. As an aside, I was not one of the estimated 400,00 in attendance for that game but I was at 'The Ralph' on September 21, 1997 for the second biggest comeback in NFL regular season history when the Bills overcame a 26-0 first half deficit to defeat the Indianapolis Colts, 37-35. Unlike the '93 Bills, the '97 team was not very good but still delivered one of the most memorable wins in Bills history. What a day for Antowain Smith! I like to think of that 'meaningless' game as my cosmic reward for sticking with that Wild Card game when the team was down, 35-3. ? GO BILLS!!!
  6. I'll bet he didn't feel that way by the end of the 4th quarter last Sunday...
  7. The Jest still have all of fired HC Todd Bowles' assistants under contract. I'm hoping that whoever they hire as their new HC cleans house and the Bills go grab ST coach Brant Boyer...assuming that the Bills do not retain Crossman.
  8. Yeah, Plaw is not great but at least he's usually available to play, unlike d'Arnaud. Having Travis as the backup to Ramos makes me nervous. With the injury histories of WR & TD, we could see Tomas Nido by May...not good. ??
  9. Mets and Astros apparently talking about a trade involving Seth Lugo with the Mets receiving prospects to restock the farm. If true, this would not make me happy at all. Especially with none of Houston's top prospects likely to be included in a deal and Lugo under team control through 2022. Lugo has been a beast out of the pen and a very good spot starter. For a team that claims to be in "win now" mode, this would be a big mistake by the Mets, IMO. I really like their bullpen having Lugo and Gsellman with Familia leading in to Diaz. They still need a good LOOGY out of the pen. Maybe they can get a decent left-handed RP in a deal for backup C Kevin Plawecki who is also rumored to be on the block and garnering some interest. https://climbingtalshill.com/2018/12/29/astros-working-seth-lugo-trade/
  10. I see what you did there...?
  11. I wanted Realmuto but not at the cost of both Nimmo AND Conforto and certainly not for Syndergaard. I know Ramos has had a history of injuries but he was my next choice and cost the Mets nothing but money. It just came out today that Grandal reportedly turned down a 4 year, $60 miilion deal from the Mets. He would've cost them a draft choice had he signed. That, coupled with the fact that the Dodgers benched him in the WS and let him walk, makes me glad that he spurned the Mets. LGM!!! https://larrybrownsports.com/baseball/yasmani-grandal-turned-down-big-offer-mets/478506 https://www.yardbarker.com/mlb/articles/yasmani_grandal_reportedly_turned_down_big_offer_from_mets/s1_127_28101044
  12. Just your opinion No winner will be declared Have fun "judging" though
  13. Just like Enunwa, Robbie Anderson is a good, young receiver who isn't going anywhere. Darnold has two good weapons going forward.
  14. Just because KW is retiring doesn't mean that the Bills have to grab a DT in the 1st Round. It's one of the deepest positions in this draft. They can wait, if they so choose.
  15. Yeah, that was my immediate thought as soon as I heard Tannenbaum had been let go. Not surprising at all.
  16. Not entirely unexpected but still sad nonetheless, IMO. He's been on the Bills for most of my kids' lives. Thanks for the memories, Kyle. You are a helluva football player and an even classier human being. Cheers to you, retiring on your own terms, and your life ahead. ?
  17. Tis not a contest A TBD tradition Many winners here
  18. Courtney once was hot Plastic surgery changed that What a freaking shame
  19. Someone will eventually give him a second chance but it won't be the Bills. No way this "we value high character" front office touches him with a ten foot pole, no matter how cheaply he might come. They also won't shell out the kind of scratch that Bell will demand. Nothing to see here on either front. Time to move along.
  20. Win won't hurt draft slot Six, seven, eight, nine, or ten All about the same
  21. Josh Allen plays well Miami loses this time Now Bills draft lower
  22. I didn't vote due to no option for 'Depends on whether he's still shagging the owners' daughter'...
  23. Yeah, there's no way I thought that Godwin was available. He's their future...a second year player who is probably due to take another leap forward next season. I was just making a point. Still a firm "no, thanks" to Jackson for me.
