  1. Exactly, May Day. I have always had tight hammies despite stretching before activities. I tore my right hammy in my twenties legging out a triple during a charity softball game for muscular dystrophy. I started for home on an overthrow from the outfield and it gave out on me, then the other one popped about halfway to 2/3 down the line. I crawled across home plate. lol I didn't realize how bad the right one was until I looked back a day or so later and saw that the entire back of my leg was a purplish black and blue from where the blood had pooled. That was a scary surprise. It was at least a month before I was feeling right. Pete...hope you are feeling better soon but, please, no beefcake shots for @Sherlock Holmes ?

  3. Never said it doesn't exist. And just because I'm not on the cesspool that is Twatter doesn't mean that I ignore what is going on in the world. Your response to my original question is still a stretch, IMO. We'll agree to disagree.
  4. How does this theory apply if a team with an African-American starter signs him as their backup?
  5. Four pages an you've yet to smarmily weigh in @Roger Goodell.
  6. Adams and Krueger have a working relationship so this is probably a copycat attempt by Kim at a McDermott-Beane type union, hoping to catch lightning in a bottle again. Either way, good f'ing riddance to the ineffective, milquetoast Botts. This franchise and its fans deserve much better. We have Shawshanked thru the sewage pipe for far too long now.
  7. I never figured you for a pre-season only kinda guy. I think @HOUSE already answered that question for you. FWIW, I don't think there is any chance they only play six games. They'll play most or all of the season or not at all, IMO.
  8. What is this d-bag Viking fan's excuse?
  9. Not nearly as bad as comparing an overcooked/well-done steak to putting ketchup on snouts & arse holes. There are few things dopier than a 'hot dog snob'...holy cripes. Point for @Johnny Hammersticks
  10. When I heard he went to Harvard and wore a wedding ring when he played. Also, anyone nicknamed 'The Amish Rifle' is never destined for greatness. Three strikes and you're out, Fitzy...
  11. Apples to oranges. The MLB HOF has a morals clause which the Pro Football HOF does not. Agree or not, that is the reason that 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson and Pete Rose are not in their HOF. BTW, if Rose ever gets in, JJ needs to be elected, as well. JJ was exonerated and is still not in the HOF. Rose is not in because, although he admitted to gambling on baseball, he has yet to admit that he gambled on his own team. Regardless, comparing HOF entrants across sports is an exercise in futility.
  12. But he's still the king of peters everywhere.
  13. You are exactly right. King stated, "That dictated a desperate move by GM Brandon Beane." False. Had he stated, "GM Brandon Beane desperately needed to make a move to improve the offense", that would be true...whether via trade or the draft. It may seem like semantics but, although they desperately needed to do something, the trade was not a "desperate move". Far from it. That, in a nutshell, is the difference between the two definitions provided by @GunnerBill. If King meant it under the guise of definition #2, then it is just lazy &/or poor sentence structure. If he meant it as he wrote it under the guise of definition #1, then he is blatantly off base. Either way, he is wrong.

  16. For me, it was Bills DE Earl Edwards. He was making an appearance in the mid 1970s at the Firestone on Niagara Falls Blvd. My dad was the store manager there at the time and brought my sister & brother (both younger than me) and me down to the store that night to meet a real Buffalo Bills player! He loaded the three of us into the car in our pajamas and took us down to the store where Earl indulged all of our questions and asked us about ourselves, as well. He was very accommodating even though he probably would have preferred to have been anywhere other than there and I'm sure he wasn't making much for that appearance but we were all thrilled to meet him. I think we were the only five people in the entire store. It's amazing what a lasting impression, either good or bad, that an athlete can have on a young kid. To this day, Earl Edwards is one of my all-time favorite Bills players. My dad passed away last November and I will always cherish this lifetime Bills memory that he created for his three kids. Thanks for this thread @plenzmd1 Side note: Dad was a pretty good golfer back in the day (shot in the 70s and low 80s) and played with Bills DL Jeff Yeates (Cardinal O'Hara High School, Tonawanda) on a few occasions. Unfortunately, I never got a chance to meet Jeff. He wasn't one of the better known Bills at the time (4th Round draft pick in 1973) and had a more memorable career with the Falcons but I was bummed when the Bills waived him and Atlanta claimed him as he was a local kid. Below is an interesting podcast with him talking about his playing days. It starts off with him discussing his time in Buffalo and there is also a cool personal story relating to this at the end of the interview around the 30:00 mark. He was good friends with Joe DeLamielleure.
  17. Is your ex Alanis Morissette?
  18. That's definitely enough cushion for the pushin'. You don't need 'em like Nicki Minaj to have fun.
  19. I was classmates and friends with Floyd Smith's son for a few years in elementary and middle school. While Smith was a very good coach during arguably the most special time in Sabre history, he did not coach or play there long enough to be considered as one of the Mt. Rushmore four, IMO. He does get extra points in my eyes though for being the first team captain in Sabres history and for being the only real/personal tie to a Buffalo sports team for me.
  20. I think he would be a very nice addition on a short term deal (1-2 years) and his acquisition would almost certainly mean the end of Trent Murphy's time in Buffalo. That said, I don't think the Bills will pursue him. JMO
  21. As a 15 year old boy, I won this Cheryl Tiegs poster at the 1978 Virginia State Fair. It immediately went up on my bedroom wall and stayed there for quite some time. ?❤️?
