  1. I would argue that last season Josh had the help of another superstar being Steph Diggs, also that Josh's turnovers could count against him. This season Josh has the wins, eliminated the turnovers and does not have a superstar like Derrick Henry to help. Josh all the way if the voters really think about it.
  2. From AI: Most valuable player (MVP) is an award given to a player who is considered to be the best or most important player on a team, in a league, or for a particular competition. The award recognizes a player's individual performance and contribution to the team's success. MVP can also be used more generally to describe someone who has done something exceptional or important, especially to the success of a group or cause. So how do you define the value of the player? Statistics can be important to help define a player's value- but are just one measure. The value of stats can also be overrated because they have no situational meaning or context. Wins are what matters most- how valuable was the player in helping the team win and how many wins were achieved? Wins are super important. Case in point (1)- Of the two leading MVP candidates, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, Allen's team currently has 13 wins and Lamar Jackson's team has 11 wins. Big edge to Josh Allen. Another way to define a player's value is to understand his contribution to winning vs. the contribution of other individual players on his team. Is the MVP candidate truly carrying his team to win more often- or does he have help? Does the team have another superstar to greatly help them win? I love the way James Cook runs the ball and helps the Bills win. However Derrick Henry is a tried and true superstar running back who greatly helps not only the Ravens to win games, but he greatly helps Lamar Jackson to be successful. He helps the offense to be ahead of the down and distance battle which often makes it easy for the Ravens to possess the ball, put long drives together, get into the red zone and score points. Henry makes Lamar Jackson's life much easier. Case in point (2)- The Bills have a very good supporting cast that helps Josh Allen to be successful but Lamar Jackson has a bona fide Superstar runner in Derrick Henry. Huge advantage to Josh Allen being more valuable to his team's success because the Bills do not have a Superstar player to help him. More.......
  3. Agreed, the Ravens scare me more than the Chiefs. If we play them it needs to be at Highmark. 3 of their 5 losses were on the road.
  4. The D will need to be healthy, especially in the backfield. The Steelers are not a legit contender and KC looked better offensively than they really are- The Cheifs scored 20 less TDs this season than the Bills.
  5. Hard not to think about that because it has happened but let's not defeat ourselves before the game is played. The Bills are different this year, especially Allen who has learned to play mistake free more or less. The offense has already scored 4 more touchdowns than last season with 2 games to go. We have a legit chance.
  6. At least the game is at Houston, gives them a chance.
  7. Thank you, Dick. Time to lock up the 2 seed and rest everyone....
  8. Doubtful they re-sign him since he will be a free agent after this season, someone else will probably out bid the Bills.
  9. who gets the ball in the second half?
  10. Of course they are, they had the third easiest strength of schedule in 2024.
  11. SI has the Bills at (1); CBS Sports has them at (3).
  12. time will tell......
  13. Better than ever......
  14. Some very good D-Lines coming up in their next games..... less mobility + underperforming offensive line = potential for lots of contact with the mahomie.
  15. both in equal measures
  16. McDermott has a great record vs the NFC. In the last three seasons they only lost two games (Phila and Minno) both in OT. That said I am concerned about this one because it's away.
  17. HFA for the Bills will be huge.
  18. Williams on third down. Milano against the run and stunt blitzes.
  19. With all due respect there is one fatal flaw with this wacky philosophy- running teams keep moving the chains and keep the ball away from our offense. A couple runs up the gut and the other team has an easy third down conversion. Stop the run and force third and long and a predictable passing situation. No thanks. Stuff the run. Always.
  20. love the win and season so far. at the same time worried about the occasionally shaky offensive and defensive play that makes us look vulnerable to the best teams.
  21. Thank God the opposing 9mph wind died down. What an awesome strike.
  22. Point taken but they are not passing the eyeball test. Lamar Jackson running up the middle at will with the statue of liberty play. The play Monday night where the runner was hemmed in on all sides but somehow passed through a narrow gap for a big run. Many other plays where they are getting gashed. The problem is bigger than it may seem because teams are making easy first downs and rarely behind in down vs. distance. As such they are eating up the clock and TOP which leaves our "possession" offense struggling for big plays when they need to play catch up. I see this as this teams kryptonite against the better teams.
  23. Seems like more of a firestarter for Bass O' Un-matic- ? Harrison Mevis FG percent career: 83.5% 2023: 80% Tyler Bass FG percent career: 84.1% 2024: 75% Looks a little like Tasker too.....
