What are you doing to get out of this funk?
jethro_tull replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Definitely a gut punch but I am counting my blessings. KC had a superior defense and DC and HFA. No chance in that game. It was still a fun season and this team is right up there. -
Little Danny Snyder doesn’t like Redskins success…
jethro_tull replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is a Bills fan who used to report on forums from Maryland (BfloBob, still out there?) who knows that team very well and was not a fan of DS. He had a very derogatory nickname for him. "Midg#t Coc#su&*er" -
Home, west of Chicago with my wife and children. My wife of 30 years just became a raving Bills fan this year.

Absolutely. McDermott and Beane have earned the right to keep the keys to the car and become tenured.

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
jethro_tull replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
they won so i trust the coaching staff to make a game plan and not overreact.... first down passing goes up along with TO ratio. -
How aggressive do you want McDermott to be on Sunday?
jethro_tull replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
unless they have a 99% sure fire play no way do they go for two. that's a little too aggressive................ Exactly. Be aggressive in overtime....... -
Is the AFC Championship the "actual" Super Bowl??
jethro_tull replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I weren't a Bills fan I would say yes. -
It sure seems that way..... I agree completely. Maybe this is building in a bow out gracefully (you can handle it !) way of dealing with a loss tomorrow but I would be extremely happy with the season even if they lose. Of course winning tomorrow would be much much better !

John Harbaugh Presser After the Loss - I always respected him

I was loving the way he looked unhappy everytime they cut to him..... -
"she takes off her dress now...." what's not to like ?

heck yeah, part of Buffalo's heritage and history

Exactly right. Somehow I think they would have opened up the offense when it counted and got in makeable FG range. Or won the game in OT. In the post game coach Cower mistakenly thought the game would have gone directly into OT after that play. BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO !

The national media narrative since the Bills won
jethro_tull replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Eff them. They are just sour grapes because they were wrong. -
The armchair media is so excited and they have no effin idea if he will be any good. This is basically a Hire by Media consensus. The sports radio talk shows have been stroking BJ pretty much 24/7 since they fired Eberfluss. Who was it that said if you listen to the fans you'll be sitting with them? Same thing for the Media. Amazing how OCs look so good when they have all pro offensive players.

Levy was 0-4 in Super Bowls, McDermott cannot go 0-4 vs KC

and the game after ! -
I believe that had the Raven's scored on more of their possessions the Bills offense would have opened up more and played with more urgency and less ball control. The bend and almost break defense gives me the willies at times and I wish they would make it a priority to improve it, especially third down stopping percentages.

I have read about the incredible preparation Sean McDermott did for the Ravens game(studied every play by the Ravens this season). Going so far as to sign former Baltimore QB Anthony Brown to the practice squad to help the Bills prepare a defense for Lamar Jackson. The way the Bills countered the Ravens showed that they made some worthwhile corrections and that they were the most prepared team on the field. The Bills were called for only one penalty for a total of 10 yards. He also made the critical call to go for the three points when they were 4th and a long two yards from scoring after Josh lost yards on the 3rd down play. Clock management was excellent and even the coin toss worked out well. Well done coach McD !

I heard Mike Golic on the radio today and he believes the Ravens lining up with 6- 300lb O-Lineman making room for Henry is something the Bills will not be able to stop (for what it is worth). Scheming can only go so far when it comes to brute force. I hope he is wrong.

Hoping for Sunday late game, not prime time.

After entering the weekend with an 8% chance of making the playoffs the Bengal's chances all of a sudden seem much brighter after their victory vs. the Steelers on Saturday. All they need is for KC to win vs. Broncos (still quite possible) and the Dolphins to lose vs. Jets (Tua is out). Good chance the Bengals are at Highmark next week-end.
