  1. Off the radar at #11 1. Quinton Groves- DE 2. Fred Davis -TE 3. Martellus Bennett- TE 4. Antoine Cason- CB I think he and Flowers are better football players than the higher rated ones I wouldn't be thrilled with any at #11 but later on would be o.k. with it.
  2. He is Tall !! And what is with the West Virginia recruiting practices. Probably just a couple of bad apples(Henry, Pacman) but how embarrassing
  3. .......... If you are still trying to adjust to those "ridiculous " Red Helmets !
  4. Actually, Bennett came in a trade... Oct. 31st , I believe, but had NO pro experience. He was a rookie holdout with the Colts
  5. The old lady's still not puttin' out, eh ?
  6. The way he played at the end of the season "Saved" us from having to wait so long on April 26 to see our first round pick.
  7. If Sweed or Kelly are the choice of the Bills and they are the #2 receiver by game 8 (which I suspect they will), nobody is going to care if they were a "reach" or not; It;s tough because the team has so many needs. I believe Keith Rivers, Derrick Harvey, Leodis McKelvin (must admit.. only have seen highlights of him), Mike Jenkins Or Philip Merling would all contribute, if not start very soon. On offense, Sweed, Fred Davis, Kelly, or Devin Thomas could probably come in and contribute right away. It may boil down to what position will still have top-notch players in round 2. If they are high on Rivers, a DE or a CB and think that the talent drop-off is such that they are forced to take that position then a WR/TE may have to wait. Unfortunately, they are not two or three players away, and are going to need to hit on their later choices to realistically do some damage next year and more likely in 2009.
  8. Talking about playmakers, genius, we need help at both positions. No I didn't see every Notre Dame game. Ialso don't like watching horror movies. You may be right and his lack of stats are everyone else's fault.
  9. If he isn't much of a receiving threat then how is he the most complete? Unfortunately, we need a big receiving threat, either at WR or TE. Touchdowns must be scored or there is little chance to move up (obvious, i know) I say no to the DOMER this time. How about a guy that can make some plays... Fred Davis, Limus Sweed...either one would vastly improve the situation because EITHER one of them should be immediate starters. Carlson in 2007 40 catches 9.3 ypc 3tds.... (1 td against Duke,1 against Air Force) I doubt he had the flu all last fall.
  10. Have you met his old lady ?!!!
  11. Are we claiming conspiracy or is it just the fact that the Bills provide much highlight material for other teams clips. I, unfortuately believe the latter but I'm sure beating all 31 other teams for William James will change all that !
  12. If we are "SET" at CB for now then I think we should start with the 2009 mock drafts as the Bills should have an extremely high pick. I don't think there are too many "solid" CB's available after June 1.... but in all sincerity, I hope somebody would part with a solid CB just can't see that happening.
  13. If Pollack isn't any better than Fowler then he could probably make only one or two rosters, the Bills being one of them.
  14. Only quibble is that JD Williams was in the 1990 draft. We may no draft one (CB) in the first round but there is no depth so we at least need two to three "warm" bodies to give us some depth.
  15. May be easier said than done. If not ,you take your highest rated and go on to round two
  16. Actually, Colston ran a 4.55 at the combine in 2006 http://www.thehogs.net/Draft/combine/2006CombineResults1.php
  17. Even if you are right in your assessment, would you agree that there is no depth and we have to hit this position, possibly twice in this draft? I think people need to keep in mind that there is more than just one round, and even if CB is not addressed @#11 it doesn't mean the staff isn't going to replenish.
  18. I really have no opinion as to who they will take. We have no depth at CB and I'm sure this will be addressed more than once in this draft. However, you have to have a trading partner and if there are no takers, what do you do ? So even, if the "experts" have Limas Sweed or Devin Thomas as late first or early second round picks... well ,we won't get them unless we take them at #11(again assuming no trading partner). I would be very happy to have either one of those guys, in a Bills uniform as Thomas looks fast and a great athlete and Sweed is big, fast enough, and has great hands, not to mention that he was considered a great blocker by his coaching staff. If the Bills go that route I will be thrilled on April 26, even if Kiper doesn't think we got "value". If value means that we complete that third down catch to keep a drive going, and/or to keep Evans from being double-teamed all the time then IMO we will be getting ONE HELL OF A VALUE with either one of these guys. My 2 cents. Take Care
  19. Assuming the world doesn't end in 2008 , these (one or two) rookie wr's will be second year players in 2009. Other than D.J. Hackett, why spend money on other teams waste products, when you can develop guys with more talent... even if they have to be rookies.
  20. All Big 10 players. Is that still considered a Major conference ? Harris looks like a player but I am not a big fan of the others. But, if your point is there are many options out there to fill your team then I agree wholheartedly
  21. We had a system ?? Sorry I missed that. I guess that 1st and 10 'off tackle' and then the second and 12 'hope and a prayer' would be hard to change. Sorry Adrian ,you just don't fit !! A-Train- A-Train- CHOO CHOO !! Playoffs here we come !!!!
  22. Right on. That's why scouts are so important as I'm sure they have to watch hour upon hour of film looking for the flaws in a player as well. And why many of us can't believe we pick a guy when we do ----> Whitner ?. Then after Season 1 we see that our scouts didn't pay attention to the talking heads and picked a Stud; though I must admit, the first two minutes after the Whitner pick, I was in a bad way. Have a nice Weekend All
